First off, the music is lit, where does it come from? Also the items and people names are funny and contribute to the mood.

The concept is really interesting, we tried really hard to win but never did better than 40%...

Maybe it's us, but we think it's a bit too hard. Maybe time should pass slower, or people could be attracted from farther by their favorite things, to make the game more forgiving.

You probably didn't have time for that, but a complete tutorial and some visual feedback (when we sleep for example) are lacking. It took us ages to get that people only chase the items if they are on their path.

In conclusion, this is a really cool and original idea and could become an awesome game we would gladly play again.

Jam Host

Fun and original concept! :) Mechanics are quite eleborate for the short time you had... very impressive! It really shows that you had 4 programmers on the team! Thanks for joining the jam!

Developer

Hi Chris, thank you and Chloé for hosting and for your feedback as well :)

You observed correctly, we ended up developing a lot of mechanics, so the artistic part stepped a bit into the background. This was the first jam that brought us four together though, so we are happy for the opportunity nonetheless!

I really liked the idea. It took me a long time to understand the gameplay. Good job!

Developer

Hi alpyalti, thanks for playing :)

If we decide to develop this idea further, we'll have to think about better ways to teach the gameplay. Thanks for your feedback!

Nice game! I liked the idea of what other people liked although it was a bit hard to keep track so maybe you could have like a info panel about all of the people?

Developer

Hi BeeEL, glad to hear you liked our idea :)
You are right, we did not spend enough time to playtest it, otherwise, we might have realized that more information should be available to the player (like the panel you mentioned).

Thanks for your feedback!

Complex mechanics that I couldn't understand. The concept is interesting, but requires significant improvements.

Developer

Hi Captain_Salat,

thanks for playing :)
You are right, more time should have been given to playtest and tweak the edges. A good lesson for next time!

I really like this game! I wasn't able to win though :)

I think it would be a little bit nicer if you could hold a key to move continuously - I keep loosing time on moving around...

Hi Gleefre, thanks for your feedback :)

Don't worry: During the phase where you can move your character, time only passes once you take a step. You can stand on one spot as long as you wish to take time for planning your next move.

But for usability it is probably a good idea to add continuous movement at some point anyway, so thanks for pointing that out!

The idea is really nice, fits the theme well and is quite relatable haha.

In terms of mechanics, I didn't quite understand how to use the items scattered around the level.

I like the little characters, they're quite cute.

Developer

Hi Nullmike, thanks for playing :)

The idea is to take items from the rooms and place them in the hallway to distract the inhabitant of the room you are sleeping in from reaching you early. Through your feedback, we now know that this mechanic probably needs a clearer explanation, many thanks!

Ah, now that you said that, I replayed the game and it makes much more sense! Though it didn't really help me score more :p

Maybe making that feature a little bit stronger would help too.
