It’s really fun! I like it a lot and i can see some ways in which the game can be improved. If you could make it shoot while keeping the mouse button pressed instead of having to click it over and over again and maybe add few item boosts (say a foot rest gives you faster movement fo X amount of time or a table gives you shield that protects you from X amount of damage). The game has a very fun concept and I look forward to seeing more updates of it, should you guys make 💗💗💗

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, there are many thing that I would like to add such as the changes you mentioned.

I like your furniture grows bigger and heavier :)

I think the game would improve with some spawn indicators of these pesky robots. I'd also suggest  to not spawn enemies directly on the player. You could give the player some sort of a no-spawning radius.

Cool Take on the theme, I love the enemies power to "teleport", I think that the game is cool but really easy to lose

Thanks for participating in this game with your nice little game! :) I wonder, what is the player actually shooting tho?

Developer

Thanks! The player is shooting the robot vacuum cleaners that are chasing you

Oh I can just imagine those pesky little things that don't do what they're supposed to, and they're always in my way... I would love to sit on my sofa and show them who's the boss!!!

Unfortunately, the game itself still needs some improvements to make it more fun. But it looks like a solid foundation that can be improved and expanded step by step.

That is an interesting take on the theme! It's nice to have a tutorial to see the possible controls (although I think it is rather a 'Controls' menu option than a 'Tutorial', but that's nitpicky.

I'd suggest not allowing enemies to spawn in the near vicinity of the player, so the player has the agency to react to their approach before the enemy starts attacking.

Further, I'd suggest normalizing your diagonal movement so that it is not faster than pure up-down and left-right movement. I'd make movement faster altogether, though.

My last point, but this is partly my short-time-memory failure: In the tutorial, it is written "Collect comfort points to upgrade your furniture", so I thought the initial task is to look for some token in the room to collect. I later found out you get comfort by attacking the enemies.

Have fun with your future projects!

The concept is interesting! Kept me playing a while to try and see how many different seats you had there.

Maybe the player is a bit too slow, and it gets really hard at some point but maybe it's meant that way?

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback! Yes while the player was slow I was trying to give it a bit of drag, but maybe something to change in the future.

The mechanics are quite simple, but the concept of playing with chairs is interesting. Maybe it's worth delving more into the mechanics of upgrade. There is nothing more to say about the game.

We found this game really fun and the way the chair evolves is truly neat.

We agree with all that Nullmike said too, the buff etc, and we think it could be a great base for a reverse bullet hell.

I like the idea, but it was a little bit too hard to avoid taking damage & move & shoot due to uncomfortable controls... I'd like to be able to loop the shooting, without needing to click that much.

Anyway, good job :)

This concept is fun but the realisation is sadly not great.

I like the game idea, the narrative choice is quite original. The mechanics could make this a cool endless game, but I found a few issues that made the experience a little irritating:
- Roombas spawn in exactly in your location sometimes, making you randomly get damaged despite playing well

- Hitboxes weren't precise sometimes, making it a little frustrating to navigate near enemies

I guess I'd also love to have some more buffs and upgrades to make it more fun to progress, but what you got is already great and comfortable job for a 2 day jam!

Thank you for the feedback! And yes their was a lot that I would like to do to finish the game.
