Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes
Summarise your game!
Use the mouse to aim and the left mouse button to jump. The longer you hold down the button, the higher you will jump. You can attack slimes by hitting them with your blade.
Steel Hopping is a platformer in which you must navigate your way through a dungeon to escape the top as a sword. You will encounter slimes, water, lava, and moving platforms as you make your way to the top of the dungeon to escape.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
You are the literal weapon that you once used before your soul got transported.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
How I tried to get the movement to feel some what how someone would expect playing a platformer as a sword.

Challenging, but I had a good time. I'm jealous of your platformer. Good work.
You nailed the hop movement, it feels really nice. I think the slimes are too much tho, the game is hard enough without them lol. And I got a little annoyed that i got killed by the top of the lava waterfall, thought that was a safe area. Overall tho, really nice job!!!
I love the art and design. It is a bit difficult at first but once you get the style and the different ways to jump, like how you have you back up a little bit if you get too close to the wall. Once you get the hang of it, it's a lot faster to get through. Overall, great game!
Art and presentation is gorgeous. Congrats :)
Diffuclt, but really enjoyable~ Jolly good work on it - love the aesthetics!
Thank You! Your game is amazing as well.
Fun idea, cute art. Game suffers from being too difficult and this comes from someone who plays a lot of platformers and rage games. My big advice for you is always get a playtester especially for a platformer.
Thanks for the feedback! I also agree on your point and I actual got a couple people to play it. Some that were unexperienced and experienced and both were able to complete it and I figured for now it would do. There are a few techniques and things that make it a lot easier but I wanted people to try and find it themselves. I am still going to try and update it a bit more before the game jam is over.
