  • Fantastic spin on the Vamp Surv genre that utilises the theme in multiple ways to create an entirely new gameplay style, in essence, then creating a new sub-genre. Would love more upgrade variety, and more pickups on the map to encourage exploration. UI is clean, art is beautiful, fully-featured and functional.
  • Really enjoyed this one. Fun music, creative, cool progression system, and the theme is front and center! Was a clever spin on the whole zombie apocalypse trope--spreading a cure! Great job!

Did you include your Game Design Document in your downloadable files?
Yes

Tell us about your game!
After the recent but quick spread of a mysterious virus the world has pretty much collapsed. Luckily Dr. J. Ferret was able to develop a miraculous cure but only in a very limited amount of doses.

This cure, much like the zombie virus, has a viral property making it possible to spread it throughout the zombie hordes even with a short supply. Do you have what it takes to... Reclaim the Living?

Controls: WASD(Move), Space (Apply Cure), Mouse (Choose Upgrades)

Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?
Yes

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes

Thanks to everyone that played our game! That was the biggest gift of all! <3

One of the best. Art is very cohesive and pleasing to look at. Game loop is well thought-out. Upgrades fit the tweaks made to the horde survival genre. Choosing the enemy upgrades is pretty cool.

One thing I don't like is training/kiting gets boring when the zombies only follow you. You only evade new spawns. If some of the zombies straggled/"got bored" that could be one  way to interrupt your train circle and make the core loop more interesting for the player as they go in circles for 15 minutes. I do like that you sometimes need to go find syringes and health around the map. Map is just the right size. I just think it needs something to spice up the optimal strategy and make it harder.

Edit: I love the raygun

Beautiful art style, simple yet clever mechanic.

I got  kind of obssesed and found myself trying to optimize builds around spreading everything with just one vaccine for like 2 hours.

I do wish you could move a little faster at the start, but thats a minor complaint. Really great submission!

Really polished game amazing for a first time jam. Loved the gameplay loop, would buy this as an actual game. Also I think there is a shoun of the dead and last of us fireflies reference lol. Loved this game art style and the power ups are really polished and I loved the idea of the cure spreading between zombies.

<3 That means a lot to us, thank you! <3
There's a few more references in there if you can spot them! 👀

This is such a fun game! It took me a little to get my bearings and get into it, but it was cool! Reminds me of those Cartoon Network Browser games from the mid-2000s.

Also, was one of the NPCs a Sean of the Dead reference? The blonde guy in the white button-up?

Thanks so much for giving it a go, glad you had a good time!  ❤️ We had bit of a hard time clearly showing the main spreading mechanic at the start of the game but it's great to see players figuring it out by experimenting.

That is indeed a reference! There's is actually a few more references sprinkled throughout the game. 👀

This game is really fun! I like how the rogue like elements are implemented. It is satisfying to watch the cure spread throughout the large group of zombies.

Another vampire survivor but the twist to the theme is nice and the game is well implemented

Such a lovely game, I adore the twist on the zombies concept, and all of the little pop culture references throughout! A really well polished game, you should be proud!

Fun game!  I know the pace is deliberate, but there were times where i wish everything was a tad bit faster.  Overall an awesome game though!

In the effort of making the game balanced and exciting we may have gone a little too hard on the Doc's poor little legs. 🙈 Although he doesn't go out much so maybe that's why. We'll get him a treadmill soon.

Glad you had a fun time regardless. ❤️
