In this game you play as Spreadward, host of the hit children's television show - It's Spreading! Work has followed him home, and he must trigger 11 spreading events to thoroughly exhaust the Spreadheads he's been covered in before the clock strikes midnight, lest they set about spreading their host all over his own apartment walls.

Explore the world, interacting with Spreadward's home and neighbours in order to set up and trigger all the spreading events!

Developer Walkthrough

Hi all! For anyone wants to hear a few thoughts from myself on the development of the game and see a full walkthrough - here's a video of me playing through the game! Obviously this has full spoilers to the solutions of the game, so I'd recommend finding as many as you can before watching!

Really fun game. The sense of humor really carries you through the whole thing and keeps pulling you back in if you ever wanna give up on a puzzle and walk away.

And I love the Easter egg to your team and the jam that you find on the computer! That was really sweet!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! The tone and feel were so important to us so glad it's landed with you :) Honestly could have spent an additional week of development just putting more easter eggs/jokes in haha

Crazy how many little interactions you managed to get into the game, well done. Love the art style.

The door sliding down made me chuckle in the best of ways. โค

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! The little touches were probably the most fun part of the dev experience for me so really glad you enjoyed them ^^

I like the art design, the music, and the puzzle-y bits.  I wish the house was more open-concept, though, I found it frustrating to move around.

Developer

Thank you, it's lovely to hear that you liked our lil' game. That's great feedback to have, accessibility is important to us, and we'll definitely look at tweaking the apartment in the future. Thanks for checking us out, and have a wonderful jam ๐Ÿ’š

Ha! This game was so cozy. Played through a few times trying to find everything. Fun and cozy game. Well done to you all!

Developer

Cosy is such a warm compliment, thank you! It's always lovely to hear when people enjoy exploring our lil' world. Thank you for playing, and have a magnificent jam ๐Ÿ’š

I see you couldn't decide on one theme so you decided on all of them. Fun game, reminded me of the old Grow Cube game, especially since both made me feel like I'm not a smart man :D

Developer

Glad you had fun playing our lil' game! Don't worry, we're not smart men either, so any of the puzzles being incomprehensible is mostly on us. Thank you for playing, and have a jolly jam ๐Ÿ’š

My guys, you fit SO much into this entry for only 2 weeks, amazing. All the little details like being able to wobble bottles and playing the piano syncing up with the music (which was great btw). Beyond that, the overall vibe really appealed to me. Sent me back to my old LucasArts point-n-click adventure game days (specifically Sam n Max comes to mind). Amazing work.

Developer(+1)

To be a reminder of games of that calibre is victory enough. I'm so glad you enjoyed our game, thank you for wonderful message :)

Really enjoyable game! Well polished in all aspects, loved the music and the art, and the play on the theme was genius.

Probably would take me a few playthroughs to get everything, only played through it twice and got 6/11, but it's a relatively relaxing game and I enjoyed the journey of Spreadward.

Also the stuff you could read was incredibly funny, not saying please and thank you??? blasphemous!!!

Great game guys!

Thank you so much for playing and for the very kind words! ๐Ÿ’–
We're thrilled that you enjoyed our silly game, and have helped shed light on  the horrific crimes of Eddy Beddy ๐Ÿ˜‰ hope you have a great jam!

Loved this, took a few playthroughs to work out all the events but that was part of the fun! The music is also now stuck in my head. The dance party is great and Mike told me to tell you to lookout for horse people and I trust his word completely. Lots of fun, congrats on making a fun silly game!

For anyone else playing: read the dialogue - cracked me up a good few times

Developer

Thanks you for playing and enjoying and replaying and re-enjoying our game! Your good kind words are greatly appreciated by us all,  and we hope to bring more dance parties with an unknowable number of horse people your way in the future ๐Ÿ’š

Hi, does the game work in browser? I tried and couldn't seem to move (I could just be really dumb though xD)

Developer

Hey they :) Should run fine with WASD keys for movement. Clicking away from the game on the page stops inputs but clicking back on it should fix it right up. Let me know if that helps

Submitted(+4)

Apparently it's my browser that's the problem. I use Firefox and for some reason it doesn't like that, or my Firefox settings are stopping WASD for some reason xD. Tried it on Chrome and it's fine! Strange lol

I played it on Chrome and thought your game was great! You thought of so many things to do. Love the style and all the animations. I almost got all the objectives!

Nice work! :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playtesting the browser version aha, it was admittedly a rather late addition!

It's lovely to have such a warm review, glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing, and have yourself a wonderful jam ๐Ÿ’š

Super fun game! My favorite part was laying down for a nap and having a dance party in bed. I've never felt so rejuvenated.

Developer

glad you enjoyed (and that you found the secret dance bug that was too good to take out hehehehe) ^^

I started a normal sized fire and did a good job at plants, 10/10

I'm in awe of your sooty fingers and green thumbs! Thank you for playing our game, and for your lovely words ๐Ÿ’š

Developer(+5)

I helped developed the game, but the game also helped develop me.
