  • I love the art of this game and the effort you put into the design. I wish there were some sort of tutorial that helped you understand how to play the game. I had no idea that I could use spells before reading the GDD. Slashing the shadows is a nice mechanic, but I didn't know how to use it in the game. Overall an interesting game, good job!

Mechanics: WASD/arrow keys, left click attack, right click lights on/off. Attacking leaves a mark on the ground if you make a triangle with the marks and then turn the lights on and off before the marks expire then you will spawn a shadow alchemical spell (fire one) which will attack enemies for you.

Professor Puck is a scholar of shadow science who has been tasked to take his rudimentary powers over shadows to adventure and learn more before the impending war in Europe strikes.

Extra Notes

Love the concept! The character felt a little slow running, and i had trouble trying to make a triangle, wasn't sure if there is a certain size it needed to be, as i made a few and nothing happened, but i got one to activate. good job though!

Love the hand drawn animations! They look awesome <3

The locomotion felt really slow which made it hard to draw the triangle. Good Work!

Nice concept! Would be cool to see it developed further with more shapes and patterns to create different spells.

Really like the water colour art-style as well, very stylish!

Thanks so much for giving it a play glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the feedback! Aha its funny you should say that as that was the original plan unfortuantley we ran out of time (a common gamejam theme i guess), with feedback like this maybe we'll have to!

What a cool concept! I really like the artwork,  it's so fun to see the animatins of the main character, and the size of the enemies does intimidate me a bit haha.

It took me a bit to get a hang of the controls, the first time I defeated a baddie was me spam clicking before I went back and re-read the instructions on hwo to make the triangle summon.

Still a super cool idea, and I love the cover image!
