- GDD The GDD is well-structured and clear. I appreciate the plans for post-jam development. I recommend putting a timeline at the end to give insight into the development progress. Gameplay The gameplay is very simple and easy to get used to. A very creative take on classic "don't let the enemy reach the goal" tower defense games is used. You having to divide your attention between holding the button and intercepting the cursor felt good. The simulation of a desktop was amusing and worked well with the theme. Most of my feedback would be about mechanics expansions, but I saw that most were addressed in the GDD. Adding powers to annoy the user, like summoning pop-ups to serve as cursor obstacles or shutting off his monitor "cursor freeze," would fit well with the theme. Installing decoys, there's a lot of room for expansion with this concept. If you want inspiration for a game that simulates the desktop, check out Kingsway. It has a completely different approach, but some mechanics can be adapted, like the use of desktop icons and pop-ups. Art Well, it's a desktop. I enjoyed the little details, like the icons and the folder you should not ever open or store on the desktop in the first place. No wonder that user got viruses. Don't pirate games, kids. I appreciate the humor in these details and the error 404. You can play with this too, to add variations, like "404 cursor not found" or "not so fast sysadmin.". Plenty of room to add your humor. Adding more fluff could improve the ambiance, but it's something optional. Sound design I enjoyed the BGM; the loop felt good and got me jamming while ruining the PC owner's day. The SFX fit the concept very well. I saw that some people sent feedback about the volume, but it felt well balanced to me. Following the theme, you could let the player adjust the volume using the simulated volume slider on the taskbar before starting the infection. Last words You might have noticed, your entry got my creative juices flowing. I feel this game has a neat concept and can be expanded to be a very fun standalone. And explore more your sense of humor; the majority was on the credits. I had a good chuckle reading that, you cheesy dev. Good job.

Yes
Summarise your game!
In You Are The Virus, you play as a computer virus trying to infect a PC. Your goal is to fill the infection meter to 100% by holding the Infect button. But it’s not that simple—admin cursors will try to activate the antivirus, and you must stop them by clicking on them before they reach their goal.
Mechanics:
Hold the Infect button to progress the infection meter.
Release the button to click on admin cursors and stop them from reaching the antivirus.
Admin cursors spawn randomly and move toward the antivirus; some are faster for an added challenge.
If an admin cursor reaches the antivirus, you lose 1 of your 10 virus strength points. Losing all strength ends the game.
Story:
You are a digital menace, a virus with one goal: take over a PC. The system administrator is trying to stop you, but with your sharp reflexes and strategic clicking, you’ll overcome the odds and corrupt the system. Once you succeed, challenge yourself further in Endless Mode to see how long you can hold out!
Controls:
Hold left-click on the Infect button to fill the meter.
Click on admin cursors to stop them from reaching the antivirus.
Additional Features:
Unlockable Endless Mode upon completing the game.
Endless mode allows you to keep playing past the base 100%
Also includes a Highscore feature
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
In this game, the player becomes the weapon—a destructive computer virus. Every action the player takes directly determines the virus’s success in infecting the PC. By holding the Infect button and fending off admin attempts to stop them, the player embodies the virus, making them the active agent of chaos. The gameplay focuses on the tension of balancing offense (infecting the PC) with defense (blocking the antivirus), highlighting the destructive power that comes from being the weapon.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Take note of the humor added, such as the randomly selected file and folder names, (80 different options)
