- If you told me this was a demo for a real game I would have believed you. the movement is spot one, especially the samurai, and the art is very nice. I really liked that there were multiple forms you could take and each one had there own art and animations. The rocket form felt like the weakest one, the rocket is slow while the gun shoots faster and feels more useful. This is a wonderful game, a lot of work was put into it and you can really tell. Only gripe is the rocket form, maybe see if you can revamp it into something that gives more utility or fits the overall abilities better.

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
This was the first experience with game development that everyone in the team had. We're looking forward to join another gamejam in the middle or end of the year. Any feedback on what we perhaps should've prioritized would be great.
We're also proud to inform that, save for the SFX, all of the assets in this game were tailor-made for this game. Nothing repurposed, nothing taken from elsewhere, everything done since the start of this jam. It was tough but worth it.

Really fun to play, everything was smooth and enjoyable. The samurai mode with the sword dashes were very satisfying to pull off, I love that mechanic in games, The art is really cute and I appreciate that each mode has it's own art and animations, that's impressive with the time limit we had. This is a great game, and I can see why you want to keep working on it! It's gonna be amazing!
Great job on the art, sound, and music! I see some megaman inspiration here not just in the powers but also in the animation that plays when you get hit. The sword dash feels really nice.
I think you could make the jump feel less floaty if you made the fall speed of the jump faster. The rocket felt less fun than the previous two weapons. I think some checkpoints should have been added, I felt it was pretty hard to get past some sections. I kept dying and starting over from the beginning was a little bit of a bummer.
Overall though, ya'll did a great job!! I read in your submission that it's the team's first experience with game development... that is amazing considering the quality here. Hope y'all keep making games!
This is a cute little game. The character especially is very adorable and likable. The game is a bit short but it's serviceable, the three power ups are well made too. Good job! The only thing I would say is that the dashing attack as a mobility needed to be fine tune a bit, it feels a bit strange that you need to let go of the mouse button in order to catch on to the momentum, it doesn't feel intuitive at all. But at least the dashing challenge near the end of the level is great but I still need to redo it many times before getting to the top.
Anyway, this is a very well made game! Keep up the good work!
This was really cool! I especially like flying around with the sword power.
Once I found out that the sword power was the strongest, I ran into an issue where I felt incentivized to not fight anything else. Although, tying healing to switching powers remediates this issue somewhat.
Nice job!
It’s an interesting game concept. I really liked playing with the samurai power.
Here are a couple of things I noticed:
Good work guys.
it was very fun, the mechanic is interesting especially with the katana/samurai weapon that allows to "rebound" on the drones. it adds some depth to the swapping. the music was great, the player sprite changing with the weapons was a nice touch too.
Nice job!
