Hello! If you want to share with others you WIP process (Work In Progress), this thread is for you ;)
What you see is actually a lobster. It is not a bat. I just wanted to draw an attack animation where bat fastly falls down to attack like eagle but accidentally drew something that looks almost like a lobster. So I ended with lobster. I have an idle animation for bat but it is all what I have for now
oh sorry dust , i was stuck with the text you did earlier :) well is going to be well for a lobster maybe if you want a personal suggestion i will make the claws a little bigger for emphasize the fact is a lobster but i think like this it will be fine the same !
I can't wait to see the animations o/
what we typically view as "perspective" is a result of how we perceive objects that are positioned in certain relation to each other. if you think about it, most tilesets usually have all objects facing the same way (towards the "camera"), however, if you were to turn one of the objects slightly around one axis, the perceived perspective would be different. right?
I was kind of lost at first when the 1-bit theme was announced because it's more of an art-style than a theme (for me). So I thought 1-bit is something very minimal. I played around to see with how small of a resolution I could make sth interesting. 4x4pixels is too small. Then I did some 5x5pixel experiments and reticles (that aim thingy for shooting games) started appearing, so I went with it. If any1 needs reticles for a chunky pixelart shooter, this is for them! And I also went back and tried to make some 4x4 pixel reticles too.
