Music is absolutely banging. Great concept too. Sometimes though I found that picking up more gold would occasionally make me go faster. Really hope you keep working on this, it's a great idea.
Well my friend who made the art wants to make the game better aswell... But we dont know if we keep it 3d or go to 2d
For what it's worth, I found the stairs at the end of each level a bit confusing, since I hadn't needed to use the jump mechanic before. I'd say go 100% 2d if you want to keep the top down style and use metaphors that work in two dimensions.
I too found the jump mechanic useless and the stairs aswell, the other programmer wanted to have them for some reason... But it would have more meaning with lasers or pits that got cut out.
So ill keep you in touch when the 2d remastered version comes out if you want.
I didn't see much point in collecting the money, but I understand there isn't always time to implement a reward system like that in such a short timeframe. Dodgeing stuff while running fast is suprisingly fun though.
It is possible to fall off the map and go to the shadow zone of renderglitches.
And to the south of initial compartment is unconfortably big for a dungeon wasteland.
Yes we are aware of it.. Its strange how you can even go through the walls, but falling through the plane then isnt that hard anymore...
I didn't go through any walls.
There are stairs in the corner of initial compartment that allow you to escape it and explore structures to the north.
I thought it was on purpose.
For the stairs you had to touch the green button so they would appear.... But you could just jump high enough without them, up there you should be teleported to the next room. But that doesnt always happens, small collider i guesss?
Yeah I fell into the render hell as well.
In the second room I went up the stairs and didn't get teleported.
Yeah colliders werent really setup well..
