Cool concept! It took me a few replays to realize there’s different modes and what to do. It would be lovely to get a menu to choose the mode and a satisfying difference between loosing and try again 😃

I only had one small niggle with it being hard to distinguish the different pieces to collect.

The pulpest of the jam. Loved the visual and the escaping versus kind.
Find hard to know which element is to get at time. Maybe feedback blink or an arrow on the objectif would have been fair for blindless memory goldfish as me :)

Developer

I think blinking is a great idea. Thanks!

While I’d have appreciated a bit more meat on this skeleton, fun doesn’t always have to be complicated.

I’m not sure what determines which game-mode gets picked. Is there some logic to it, or just random?

Developer(+1)

The choice of mode is just random :)

Definitely think this is a fun little arcade game. I think overall the game could easily be expanded with more levels and maybe even more goals and quests to achieve.

Suggestions/Criticism:
- Collecting the chess pieces in order feels a little confusing and I would feel that it would be better if the player could collect them in any order. But I do like the challenge of collecting them in order. Maybe there could be a clearer way to tell what order to collect. For example the piece could flash to know what would be collected next.
- I feel that evading death can sometimes be too easy when you aren’t collecting anything. I was able to continuously juke Death around a building by just circling the building and changing direction when I noticed Death was coming towards me.
- I wonder if there could be a hard game mode where the player has a limited field of view making it so that the player couldn’t see a certain distance from them. This could definitely make the game more challenging.

Overall great work and I can’t wait to maybe play some more!!

Edit: Could also be interesting to have a game mode where the player is continuously walking in one direction and isn’t able to stop. Kinda like in snake

These are all great ideas, thanks for the detailed feedback!

I love cat and mouse games, in survival mode I found a way to keep death at bay permanently by moving side to side on the bottom right hand building, if only it was so easy in real life ;)

Great stuff!

You beat the game haha! Thank you!

Super fun! I liked the different challenges. Running felt very fluid and fun. It might have been fun to explore some different ways to use the crank in the gameplay. I was a little confused about the order of collection in the collect mode.
Well done!

Developer

Thanks! Both fair points, I appreciate the feedback!

I like this game! It's fun to see how the difficulty advances! I like the Pac-Man esk game play with an extra spin! Very clever. I like what you did here :)

Developer

Thank you! I guess it is a pac-man-like!

nice! presents a decent challenge, at least for me :] I like that there are the 3 different goals for variety of gameplay

Thanks! I think "race" can get pretty challenging for sure!
