I still wanted to check out some more games that I didnt get to play during the voting and I now got to play yours.

First of all, wow, congrats on achieving something like that in only 48 hours. This game offers surprisingly much content for the time given. One thing that could be improved in my opinion is that the game feels really slow at times, having to go back to the machine three times gets you out of pace. But the art, story and puzzles are really cute and I am really, really impressed that you managed to make this on your own in just 48 hours.

Keep up the great work and congrats on getting into the Shortlist! :D

Hey Gabl,

Awesome, thanks so much for still checking out submissions and even leaving comments – that’s really cool.

Yeah, those were two extremely sleepless nights with a high "coffee-per-hour" rate. But I’d say it was totally worth it, especially when I get such great feedback like yours.

Pacing is definitely the first thing I’ll improve. I’ll increase the base speed and tweak the speed perks a bit. With every point in speed, you also become lighter, which can lead to some cool new puzzle mechanics.

Thanks for the feedback!

Love the setting. Mechanics also nice. Like ist :)

Glad you liked it! Tabtaste!

Very nice setting and mechanics! I can see this becoming a neat puzzle platformer :)

Developer

That means a lot—thank you!

Nice artstyle and setting. I think you should make character  faster at start so player can faster actually start playing. Good job!

Developer

Hi 11rdna,

Thanks for your feedback! I'll adjust the speed right after the jam to make the gameplay start much faster.  Appreciate your input!

Awesome visuals and cool idea with swapping out skills based on what you need, makes for some interesting puzzles though I did find it a bit annoying to need to go back to the station to swap the skills. The default walk speed was also frustratingly slow after a while, which lead me to always have speed on and very reluctantly remove it. Otherwise though a well made game!

Developer

Hi Pet Pumpkin!

Yeah, that’s definitely something I’ll be adjusting. Thanks a lot for your feedback!

Really nice concept and execution. It was a bit annoying that the default move speed is so slow because this made me not want to look around unless i upgrade speed but that often times made me have to run back to the upgrade station. But other than that I really enjoyed this game. The Art and overall vibe of the game is charming and relaxing and I think this could be made into a cute little game if you want to continue working on it :) Great job!

Hi Jaylini,
Thanks a lot for your feedback!
You're absolutely right! Initially, I wanted to prioritize storytelling a bit at the cost of speed—probably not the best decision.

For the future, I'll increase the base speed and rework the speed perks a bit. You'll still get faster through points, but you'll also reduce your weight, which will lead to some cool new puzzles. Thank you!

Sounds like a great idea!

There have been so many great reactions to this demo that I can definitely see myself continuing to work on it. Plus, there are a few puzzles I absolutely want to implement. Thank you for your feedback!

A very nice looking and charming game! :-) The robot is really cute, especially the jump animation. The respeccing of skills is a nice idea, but I would really like an additional free point for Speed. 😅

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the cool feedback RobC!

Yeah, I’ll definitely crank up the base speed - Nobody likes slow robots 😅

i like the running animatino and how he turns it when it goes the other way that looks really cool

Glad you like it!

This one is a banger! Excellent work.

Thank you so much, XRayHunter!

Really nice visual presentation, my respects! The robot is very cute and I love the touch of the sprite physically flipping when you turn around, the 3D environments are nice too as well as the environmental lights etc. I could really see this game concept turning into a kind of chill puzzle metroidvania where you can pick where to go first depending on what stats you prioritize! Great job :)

Developer(+1)

Hi Schwertknappe!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I also think a Metroidvania approach would be really cool. Over time, you could activate more modules and use different combinations to reach new areas.
Thanks for your feedback!

Nice concept and cool artstyle, would've liked to see more puzzles. Also I feel that you moved a little bit too slow, I know you can upgrade your speed, but you almost always need your point in the other skills.

Developer

Hi Skosnowich,

thanks for that awesome feedback! I had a few more puzzles prepared, but unfortunately, the 48 hours were over faster than expected!

You bring up a very interesting point. So far, I’ve usually put a point into speed in combination with something else. I will definitely take another look at that. Thank you!

Submitted(+1)

Ah, I always kept one point in talking, so I could understand the hints of the robots :D

Very charming little adventure! The graphics combined with the music made it already feel nostalgic! Good Job!

Developer

Thank you Naddel!

I love the 2.5D art style! I've always wanted to use it myself. Cool game! :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Glad you liked it!

really like the calming music and all the robot-related jokes! :)

Developer

Thank you, FalloutOwl! I think there will be many more robot-jokes to come!

Submitted(+1)

Very cool and original concept! Keep at it this one has potential and I also really enjoyed how it felt like one of these PS2 titles you played as a kid ^^

My biggest critique - the movement speed in the beginning is super super slow - nearly quit before reaching the first upgrade station because I got "bored".

But other than that, great job mate!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback!
Yeah, I really should have put a point into speed from the start. I thought a slightly slower introduction would be a good way to ease into the storytelling.
Looks like I was a bit off there. 😄

Submitted(+1)

Maybe you could make it work by having a way smaller level area in the beginning :)

Submitted(+1)

Cute idea for the theme, so many small but charming details in the writing of the loading animation or the robot dialogues.
I really like the vibes the broken robots and the music give in combination :)
Good job!

Developer

Thank you Xeetsh for that feedback. Glad you liked it!

Cute little Robot. I like the Artstyle and 2.5D aproach ^^

Developer(+1)

Thank you! The artstyle was something I had wanted to try for a long time. :)
