a pocket that walks around on a billiard table and steals all the balls...but it's terrible

Congratulations on the release! The image of a physical pands pocket on a billiards table made me laugh - I totally expected this to be related to the corner pockets.

This was super challenging, but as the speed increased, I was able to occasionally find a very satisfying ball-dropping rhythm.

You might need to go into the "Embed Options" section of the edit game menu, and either make the game launch in fullscreen by default, or else adjust the embedded window size to match the room size. The game window is cropped in windowed mode.

This might be more exciting if there was a penalty for missing a ball - maybe you can only miss 3 balls before you restart the game. Currently, it's satisfying to nail a drop at high speeds, but it's easy to spam the spacebar and eventually get lucky with no penalty for failure.

Thanks so much for submitting a game!

I like the miss counter.  Would also be cool to put some stats on the win page to see how you did.  Thanks for trying it.  Fun jam!

Fun little concept. I think some small things could really elevate the experience, like a speed timer or number of failed hits to make the game competitive against yourself. Overall, cool game.

Thanks for the comment.  I do agree a miss counter could be cool.  Could build additional stages with different movement for the ball dropper and pocket.  Fun jam!

I love how you made this in less than a day!

I like how the pool balls change to number how many drops you've gotten! Perhaps a fail counter would be fun?

the gameplay is there, but it feels like it could use some iteration. For example I felt like not being able to see the ball's drop point made the game a bit too random.

I do like how the speed increases with every successful ball drop. I would have loved it if the sfx increased in pitch slightly with each successful drop as well. I would have loved to see some visual reward or juice for a successful drop

The game fits the theme well, involving pockets as well as pool, a sport which involves pockets. You even managed to fit the theme into the name!

The music fits the vibe but some variation would be nice. Or even just speeding it up with each successful drop, though this might make it more repetitive.. so a longer loop might work best.

The sounds are there and that is appreciated, but more sounds, or variation like described earlier could benefit this project. I feel like the drop sound should be more of a slide whistle sound (high then low). and the failed drop should be more like a wrong answer on a game show.

The browser export plays fine and is appreciated, but I noticed that the background is cut off unless you press the full screen button. this is fine for a jam, but we do loose out on some of the "poolness" of the game.

While I don't feel like this game is winning goty awards any time soon, it is nonetheless impressive! The fact that it was made from concept to completion in under 24 hours blows my mind.  Really awesome work on this entry! Great hustle!

Thanks for the feedback Rik.  I agree there is a lot to be desired in the sound design for sure.  Additional levels and a stats screen when you win instead of a sarcastic message would help.  I appreciate all the feedback.  I love game jams and never have a lot of time due to my psychotic life/dev/work schedule.  Gives me a moment to remember I can code things... lol.  Also, I made this game from start to finish in 2 hours.  Thanks for the comment  :)
