Cool idea! I really like the jump mechanic, it was satisfying to use and utilize to avoid attacks with good timing. I think the curse system could use some work, particularly with what debuffs are applied, as all of them are very punishing and don't feel very good. If you want to stick with the rotating curses, I think it would be better to have ones that just debuff your power in some way (whether they make you deal less damage, move slower, etc), rather than disabling abilities entirely. I ended up rolling the no attack curse three times in a row and automatically died because I needed to keep killing enemies to stay alive. Your foundation is good though, movement and jumping felt very good!

It seems like the "no attacking" curse afflicts me even when the Hearts curse is not active. I'm not sure if that is a bug, or if I am misunderstanding the mechanics/controls.

This is a cool idea. It seems like this encourages a constant cycle of attacking and retreating, based on the active curse. The "One HP" curse felt a little frustrating - I am trying to avoid taking damage no matter which curse was active, so this didn't encourage me to play differently.

I wish the attack animation was a little bigger and more exaggerated, so I can tell exactly where my sword will hit.

The jump was effective AND fun to pull off. The game was most fun when I was frantically running from enemies while my attack was disabled, kiting them into corners and then jumping over them to escape.

Hey, just a heads up that this doesn't load for me. If I open up the console before clicking play I see these errors:

Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token (at Pursuing Pixels :1:1)
index.html:141 Uncaught ReferenceError: Engine is not defined at index.html:141:16

I haven't seen this before, but https://godotforums.org/d/26990-html5-exporting-not-working-with-newgrounds makes me think that potentially 'index.html' is trying to load assets by the wrong name? Sorry I can't be more help :(

Same :(

Thanks so much for letting me know! I was kinda in a rush to upload and had put in a last second patch without rechecking if it worked. I just fixed the upload so the game is playable (though still kinda buggy) now, and added a windows exe though idk if it's any better. Happy Jamming!
