The perspective was a really good touch on the game. Well done!
Thanks! 😀
Awesome work! I had a great time with it, and the concept was one I seriously meshed with, as I've been on-and-off working on a game focused on trash in the environment, and this is SERIOUSLY inspiring to keep it moving on that.
I think a full version of this game would be amazing. I can imagine some cutscenes in the style of the cover art, conveying the backstory of the greedy space colony and their uncaring nature toward the land below. With more time than the jam, I can see this going far, and with a great message to boot. The crafting is fun, the inventory management is challenging without being annoying, and I enjoy the failsafe of the campfire if too much stuff builds up, at a cost to the environment. Great work!
The only thing I think could use changing in a post-jam full version would be the rotation of the world. It might be nice if you could drag the world somehow, perhaps by middle clicking and dragging, rather than scrolling.
Wow thanks for the in depth comments. That's awesome you are making a similarly themed game, can't wait to see it!
Nice idea for adding cutscenes. It was tough to incorporate the backstory with the time but glad you liked it. Thanks for the feedback on the gameplay!
I'll have to look into rotating with the middle click, sounds difficult haha.
This one is really cool! I love the perspective. Nice job!
Thanks!
The game has potential, I didn't understand what to do. You should consider to keep the pixel art consistent for all the assets you implement, thanks.
Ah sorry about that. Basically you have to make sure the trash does not get a over a certain level while also combining it together to make the environment get better. Thanks for the feedback!
I love it. It's so much fun.
Nice!
Thanks for playing!
This is such a neat concept! I like that crafting disposes of the trash, so that it focuses on the act of crafting rather than the actual output of the crafting as most games do. Very unique stuff, and lots of fun to play!
Thanks for the feedback! Glad you liked it 😀
I had fun discovering how I was supposed to keep that trash meter down and finally getting the tree meter up! However, the Casual mode seemed pretty aggressive in the drop rate of trash - would love to play again on an updated version with a little more balance and more polish on the menus. It's a good concept and great message, nice work!
Thanks! Yeahhhh a classic case of getting better while making the game then having it be too hard haha. You really have to aggressively dump stuff you can't use in the fire even if it puts you back on the environment.
Realy cool concept with some good gameplay. I love the idea of a climate change awareness game.
Thanks for playing!
I love this! I love the environmental message! I love the sprite-based 3d aesthetic! The crafting mechanic is cool, and balancing the two meters is fun and challenging.
The game feels a little too challenging since the trash falling from the sky appears to be random. But that didn't stop me from playing four times in a row, trying to win. I would absolutely play a full version of this!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. I agree the randomness makes it pretty hard sometimes, feast and famine lol. You can burn the trash to stop from losing but it will set back your progress.
This game is fantastic and sooo much fun , its very well made and deserves a solid rating well done!
Thanks! glad you liked it.
Thanks for making this amazing game!
