Art and music is beautiful! The gameplay, although repetitive, is a great concept. Would love to see the extra ideas added in a post-jam update if you do decide to keep working on it!

Thank you Dylan! Tempted to do just that, we shall see… appreciate the feedback!

Really cute game! I loved the expression when dying :) The puzzles are nicely designed but I felt that they could be a little clearer. Nevertheless, it may have been my incompetence.

Developer(+1)

I’m certain you aren’t to blame for the lack of clarity! I wanted to make a more obvious tutorial on how to get through and finish a stage but it didn’t work out in time. Thanks for playing!

Love the puzzle style, the items to try out and the freedom that the gamer can experience throughout the levels ! Well done !

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for playing, glad the gameplay options were seen through!

Awesome game! I was pouring some water next to a wall. It glitched me out lol. Collisions on the ground are a bit confusing since the snow doesn't act as a colliding object so it gets confusing. Veryyy cute game though!

Developer

Haha, not too unexpected behavior knowing how things were going for my own testing before uploading! Thank you for playing!

Really liking the presentation and animations. Satisfying and intuitive. Thinking a couple steps ahead for making paths but not blocking others was interesting. I finished a level and fell into a blank scene so I think I won?

Developer

Nailed it! Haha, I didn't have time to get an ending screen together. I appreciate you playing and glad you enjoyed!

The penguin was so adorable! I love the way it tip toed around. I liked the water and ice mechanics!  I thiiiink the game broke after completing the third level. The screen went blue. This was a really great puzzle game all around! Nice job to all!

Developer(+1)

You got the blue screen of death! Haha, just kidding, that's simply the abrupt end that (I think) I mentioned in the page description. Isn't that pengy just the cutest? All credit to Riverbottom! Thanks for playing and for the love.

I liked the jumping and water pumping animation! The gameplay with the ice was interesting and the ending with the fish was a fun addition to the theme of the world.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! The fish was one of my favorite parts to add in, thought it worked out as a great way to signify completion.

Thank you for the game!

Loved the idea, but was really frustrated by some of the levels. Figuring out the level was fun, but then actually executing it was somewhat tedious. The third level broke me after I accidentally fell onto the spikes after spending 5 minutes going back and force and laying those damn ice blocks.

The music is wonderfully eery and sinister, despite innocent subject matter, which I've found somewhat funny too :)

Developer(+1)

Totally fair points! That third level seemed good at first, but replaying it while fixing some other bugs it was clearly tedium to a T. Wish I had put some more time towards making those more enjoyable to get through! Thanks for the honest feedback.

dancing to the music, loving the levels, loving the creativity, font and ideas. Nice

Developer

That icy font is quite cool, isn't it? Thanks for your kindness, means a lot!

First off, I'm a sucker for an interactive title screen, so I loved that bit. I had a lot of fun with this one, I particularly enjoyed how intuitive everything was! For example, seeing the water pump and the bucket next to each other let me connect the dots myself, and it made sense that pouring the water out onto the ice made it freeze into a block of ice. Great work here!:)

Developer(+1)

The great title screen idea was totally my teammate's! What made it out there is just shy of what was intended, hah. We wanted you to be on a bit of a goofy chase for your fish dinner... it definitely morphed a bit hahah. That's how it goes sometimes when you overscope and underplan a bit like I did. I'm glad you enjoyed what we put together!

The music is really good, but it feels so intense compared to my happy little penguin haha.

I love the idea here - I would love to see a longer version with more opportunities to see all the moving parts - faucets, buckets, ice blocks, etc.

Developer(+1)

I battled with "ominous arctic" and "happy arctic" the whole jam! Have another song that's much happier, but it's kind of got a "menu music" vibe and I didn't think it would fit in a level. Then shifting from that happy tune to the intense one was super weird, so we settled on the one piece of music that felt more like a level tune. There's a lot I didn't get to implement due to unexpected hurdles but yeah, I'm in the same boat, want to see the idea fully realized!

Cute art, I like the premise of the penguin just wanting to eat (pan-fried) fish. The second level did give me trouble because it took me a while to understand how to spawn the ice cube.

Developer

Thanks! I wanted to do any amount of tutorial but it just didn't work out time-wise. I'm glad you got through it still! If a post-jam version is made, that's top-of-list.

the game is great and got a solid rating just ran into two issues first one being on level 1 when I completed level 1 it took me to a black screen that didn't transition to the next level , and other being on level 2 , where I accidently added an ice cube over that walrus he got stuck in place its not really game breaking but still worth mentioning other than that I liked the game...the platforming needs some work but its fine by me , the art style is very nice and charming , the music is decent and overall gameplay is fun , well done!

Developer(+1)

Thank you BeamDev, I appreciate that and the bug reports! The walrus was meant to actually get frozen and not have a seizure haha - if you manage to get an ice block down before he is too close to it, it'll act as a little wall to prevent him from moving towards you. Your kind words mean a lot.

Thank you for making this amazing cute lil game , truly an enjoyable experience , and I think we could all agree that a Walrus with a seizure is better than a frozen one!! ;)
