Hi! I played your game on stream a few days ago! If you weren't there to watch and want to see my thoughts, check out the archived video (timestamps are in description):

Hi, sorry for not rating your game earlier.
I like the idea of being chassed while having to face the monster. While learning how to play I lost a lot. The screamer had little to no effect after a while. Maybe you can trigger the screamer after 50% progression so we don't get used to it? Anyway good job!

thanks!

I'm having this glitch where right after the opening cutscene starts it goes back to the "press button to play" screen with the audio still playing and when I press a button the second time it just plays the audio on top of the other and repeats that cycle.

It was complex to understand how to play (even after hearing the speech), but it is interesting.

The animations and sounds are great, and I really liked the old TV effect.

It was quite unclear what I needed to do. But once I got it, it was interesting. I checked for the creepy guy and it slowed down him. The jumpscare was well done. The visual effects are really cool, maybe I would make them a little less transparent, so there is more visibility. I like how it shows an actual date and time lol

Thanks for playing! did you beat the game?

Submitted (1 edit)

I think I did. There wasn't a win screen, but I got to the end of the map. It was a close one because I had 2 seconds before timer ended

thats because you played v1.1. there is some kind of bug that makes the win screen disappear. if you want to see the win screen, play v1.0. I also posted the win screen on discord.https://discordapp.com/channels/772505616680878080/794595432999157780/1170509336...

I think the old television screen effect was REALLY good! I saw your updates in the pygame server too, so this is definitely a very cool game for me

Developer

Thank you!

If you die before the initial speech and restart, the old speech doesn't stop and you have to listen to two out of sync speeches.  First playthrough I was up to three or four speeches at the same time.

Developer

could you beat the game?

Submitted

i instantly die, no time to even finish the initial speech

Developer

you need to start walking to the right and check the left every 4 seconds. You can also sprint. I am gonna add the instructions in the jam page, since it also may be hard to hear the initial speech.
