Wow! This is really good. Reminds me of Tempest but with the ability to switch between different colors.

I love how the paddle follows the mouse, so unlike Tempest, you have full control over where the paddle ends up. The color switching felt difficult to pull off at first, but once I got the hang of it, it just felt amazing to rack up combos. I love how I can also get lives back too, that really encourages me to play better. Excellent use of the theme, brilliant execution on the concept too. Great stuff.

Thanks for the review! Funnily enough, the game was inspired by a minigame in the third Ratchet And Clank game, but I've read that the designer of the minigame was inspired by Tempest. So there is a bit of it in there, just with an extra step.

Oh, cool! You definitely added enough to make PaddleSwap fun in a new way.

I got 173! This is a really simple and fun game, got me hooked for a while to get that lol, good job!

Developer

That's way higher than I've gotten 😅 My best score was 121. Thanks for giving it a review!

This was super fun! The idea is very addicted even though it is very simple! I was struggling at first but after playing for a bit I got a lot better. Not many criticisms besides maybe adding some background music. Great game, well done!

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm very happy with how the gameplay turned out.  I've seen other mentions of adding background music and I think it's a good idea.

Such a simple and fun idea. It's an addictive concept for sure. You can definitely add some background music to fill in the empty space in the sound, some music similar to geometry dash would work really well.

I like the scale in difficulty, that's something my game could of used haha.

On my first run, I would've got like 100 the rate I was going but as I flicked up to get the top and clicked YouTube on my bookmarks so I didn't see my score which sucks lol. On the second time however, I got 89 which I'm happy with. Defo wanna beat it tho.

Developer

Thanks for checking it out! I definitely want to add music if I keep working on the project. Sorry about you losing your score though 😅 Maybe I should also add keyboard controls.

Nah it's all good, I was too quick for the game. Some call me flash.

How did you come up with this idea ?

It's simple and fresh, I mean there's no other game like it. I think it can become a real addictive little game, I'll be coming back to play your game from time to time.

Really good idea, and really nice game !

Developer(+1)

It was inspired by a minigame in the third Ratchet and Clank game, which had a similar layout. I went in a different direction to make it an endless game though. Thanks for reviewing it!

Oh yeah, i've only played this Ratchet and Clank on PS2. And now that you are saying that i think i remember a thing a bit like that. (Very old flashback are coming  to me)

Quite an interesting interaction mechanics. Each level makes you sweat. My record is 82. It's very difficult, I can't keep up with the game)) I think there is not enough background music for a more immersive game

Developer(+1)

I think music is something I will add if I further polish this project. Thanks for the review!

Fun game! Really challenging. I like the use of red and green colors to alternate your paddle.

Developer

Thanks! It ended up being more difficult than I expected but I think that's part of what makes it fun.
