Thanks for the review! Funnily enough, the game was inspired by a minigame in the third Ratchet And Clank game, but I've read that the designer of the minigame was inspired by Tempest. So there is a bit of it in there, just with an extra step.

I probably shouldn't have played this scary game so late at night 😅I liked the design of the enemy and the feedback of the heartbeat and shaking as it got nearer. That helped make keeping track of where it was even scarier the closer it got.

That's way higher than I've gotten 😅 My best score was 121. Thanks for giving it a review!

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm very happy with how the gameplay turned out.  I've seen other mentions of adding background music and I think it's a good idea.

Thanks for checking it out! I definitely want to add music if I keep working on the project. Sorry about you losing your score though 😅 Maybe I should also add keyboard controls.

It was inspired by a minigame in the third Ratchet and Clank game, which had a similar layout. I went in a different direction to make it an endless game though. Thanks for reviewing it!

I think music is something I will add if I further polish this project. Thanks for the review!

I tried it again and managed to make the jump! Just need to get some practice in. Great game overall. My favourite part is still the appearance of the game. The lighthouse in the distance before it comes fully into view is a highlight of that.

Interesting gameplay. I liked trying to use the light as much as possible while also trying to move on the most direct path. Could be a great game if you wanted to expand on it more after the jam.

A lot of potential here with the concept of firing also moving the player and having to balance not falling too far with not firing too much.

I really like the retro style that you created using the theme. It kept things simple while still looking great. Solid gameplay, but it would be nice to have a way of knowing where enemies are coming from with the limited field of view.

I liked the platforming and the bonus goals that a player could reach if they were skilled enough at the gameplay. I really liked that boss fight though. I didn't expect it, but it was a great way to test the player's ability to time their jumps and dashes.

Those little colour guys are very cute!  Having to choose between being zoomed out far enough to see where the guys and the new zones were or being close enough to grab them was an interesting part of the gameplay.

I think everyone who has worked with customers has had an experience like this XD I like the presentation, the animation and sound effect especially. Both the running/gathering and the bullet avoiding gameplay are fun. Also a unique take on the theme itself.

The controls and movement have a great feel which is definitely a must with this kind of platformer. Having the switch reveal different paths and platforms really tests the player's ability to remember where to jump and figure out a path after repeated attempts. I like the difficulty, even though I haven't made it to the end yet 😅

Nice use of the theme. I liked the mix of puzzle solving and getting the right timing for the jumps, slides and colour swaps. I would definitely play more levels of this game.

Great concept and gameplay! Having small gaps in the map so players can't just go straight to a certain areas without thinking about how to get there was a great touch and I liked  gathering a bunch of moths at once for a combo. Also really liked those sound effects.

Very interesting use of the game jam theme. I like how you took that to create a unique look for your game and it works really well in the game's environment. I'll admit I wasn't able to finish it. I was trying to stack planks to make a jump to the island across from the broken bridge and I'm not sure that's how that was meant to work since I kept falling just short of it XD I like the setup of the story though, and the introductory cutscene.

Thanks! It ended up being more difficult than I expected but I think that's part of what makes it fun.
