Hi there! I am a Godot dev making a rhythm game and am running into issues trying to sync up the player animations to the song beats.
I tried your game and noticed how the platforms and spikes etc. are synced so well and was wondering if I could pick your brain about rhythm game things sometime. If so, let me know. It would be a huge help!

Great game with lots of polish! I liked how the objects in the game were synced, which does help in knowing when it is safe to move or not. Also liked the idea that you have to bring the two characters together in order to complete the level!
Some feedback that I have for the game is that the music could have been looped instead of just killing the player after it ended because after a couple of retries and understanding the level, I finally get the 2 characters together and right before I can win the game the music has already ended and the game is lost lol.
But other than that, its a great platformer with rhythm elements to it!

We decided to not loop the music to force the player to go fast, because we intended to make a fast paced platformer. Also we thought that the game would become a puzzle game rather than a "rage" / fast paced platformer game.
If we ever update this game again, I'll make sure to add an easy mode that will loop the song forever.

Ridiculously polished, and just an excellent game that is clearly on theme.
A point of critique—I think checkpointing would be helpful, and would make more sense for the speedrunning objectives. As it stands, it doesn't seem like there's much difference between completing a level on your fifth death versus your first, so why does the timer count across deaths?
Putting that minor point aside, I love everything about your game, and I'm going to go back to playing it now.
Yeah, I completely agree with you! I even considered adding a checkpoint system to the game, but I didn't have the time to implement it. Definitively something I'll add in a future update!

This game is super cool! The pixel art is incredibly beautiful, the music matches the gameplay, and the gameplay is simply exquisite. I love the visual effects and the puzzles of the game, great job, it definitely deserves to be the winner!
