I actually am trying to make my own, do you know where to start?

Sorry for the late reply, start of by making a update system! like a ECS but something easier, so your objects can interact with each other, but it realy depends on what you want to do with your game engine!

Unity

https://github.com/HaraldWik/go-game <- game engine source code (Don't use it for any projects)

Just started learning Godot, so decided to give it a shot for this jam!

Great to hear, Godot is a really good starting engine to use!

Submitted

i used scratch, but used turbowarp to compile into html

Nice to hear, scratch is a great beginners toolkit!, and we all have to start somewhere :)

Submitted

godot

what? do you think I made it it Godot?, I have the source code for the engine https://github.com/HaraldWik/go-game

Submitted

I used Godot, and I have never made a game on there nor have I ever uploaded anything on itch.io, I WAS SO STRESSED TRYING TO GET THIS WORKING. And all for what, for some watermelon to roast me and my beginner game-making skills?

Submitted

This jam is also the reason I started really noticing itch.io and I don’t plan stopping from here
