Awesome, haha. Had a lot of fun with this one. I knew it was longer so I waited until I knew I had some time to sit and dedicate myself to it. Your style and flow has such a distinct feel and I really really love that. I feel as if even if I played a game shadow made my you I'd recognize it, if that makes sense? Really cool. Obsessed with how nice the mapping looks, the depth of the parallax images looks SO nice. Even just walking around I found myself going back and forth just to watch how things moved and looked.

This was funnier than I thought it'd be, haha. Love all the cheeky names for items and abilities, being able to curate your own party was a lot of fun. Reminds me of those older FF games and really makes it accessible for a lot of different players.

The boob thing is funny if a bit much, haha. Everyone has their things. But on one level, I wanted to share this with a friend but felt myself feeling a bit embarrassed to? And it's a tricky balance cuz, it's okay if not all games are palatable to everyone but I'd hate for something so trivial big picture wise to ever deter someone from playing your games. But like I often make weird sad stories and those don't land for lots of people, so it's always fair to stick to your niche and do it well, which you do!

It all worked so smoothly!! I agree with what someone else said on here, this barely feels like a game jam game. REALLY smooth, didn't have any issues or soft locks that I ran into. It moved right a long, made sense, made me laugh, spooked me out. The platform style and the way the sprites bobbed worked really nicely. You have a good eye for balancing contrast and color and i always feel like I learn a lot about design when I play your projects.

Chevie, thank you so much for your amazing feedback and your kind words!
I'm really glad you liked the use of parallax, since that's one of the aspects I put the most work on!
Your games have a distinct feel and style too! I just started Round and Round and I'll leave my feedback after I finish it!
I think we all benefit from playing games by other indie devs and we always learn something that might prove to be useful in our next project.
Actually, one of the reasons why I made this into a turn based RPG was because of Sweet Dreams, the game you made for the 20th Rpg Maker Horror Jam. Playing a RM horror game with actual RPG combat really left an impression on me (a good one! I really liked that game!)

Again, thanks for playing and for your awesome comments! : D

I still can't believe the amount of work you put into this project in just a month!

This doesn't feel like a "game jam" game at all - instead it is incredibly fleshed out in graphical detail, mapping and storytelling.

I didn't finish it yet, but I love it!

Thank you so much Kylmaenen! : D
I reckon I included a lot of filler though hahaha. But I was really inspired and had a lot of fun making the game!

Another banger of yours, I must say! I think you blew it out of the park with this entry! I loved how much effort was put into capturing the feel of a really haunted/creepy carnival, and all the assets and monsters really played well! I love all the different characters you get to have in your party, and I was pleasantly surprised about the side-scrolling approach! Imo, it really fits this game!

I'm a sucker for voluptuous women, so when I saw the ringleader, I was very...drawn in to this title, haha! There were so many other visuals that helped keep me immersed all throughout the gameplay, and as a player, I felt accomplished whenever I saw what door was unlocked after specific switches were flipped. I also really appreciate the easy mode and the cheat-guy in the game!

In all honesty, I didn't find this game in particular very "scary" per-se...mostly because everything was (for the most part) already visible and the tone felt less serious (particularly with the fart/poop jokes in both the maps and character moves/statuses), but I felt that worked with the kind of slasher-horror films some might recognize- like it's obvious it's a bit hammy, and sometimes silly, but I don't think that's a bad thing, in and of itself!

If there's one thing I can critique, it would be asking to have certain move sfx be turned to a lower volume? I know SE/ME etc. is avail in the options menu, but I don't think it transferred to the battles. (I had to mute my speakers bc using the 99 move with the bat made such a loud, ear piercing sound;; )

Another might be the seemingly lack of reason for all the things that can be named/given names to. I thought it might end up meaning something in the end, or relate to a specific ending, so when it wasn't referenced again (aside from a few, I think), it felt a little lacking in that regard. I also thought I had maybe missed something, seeing that there wasn't a perfect or GOOD/BEST ending- and I didn't have the heart to start all over again ;w;

But I read elsewhere that there's only 2 endings, and I think that's fair considering the time/effort it took to get that far at all! The game took me about 2hrs to complete, and I really enjoyed such a long gameplay! It's quite impressive for a gamejam entry, imo!

I also read about a possible sequel, so I also look forward to that (and really, any other works by you ;w; )!

Thank you again for the experience! It really has that Dossow feeling that I think fans of yours can really see :>

Ohh thank you so much Egg! : D
Some of the questions you get asked...are pure filler hahaha. Yeah, I definitely should have done something else with that, maybe a reference in one of the endings or something like that. But most of those were last minute additions, and by that time, I was already anxious to finish and publish the game, so I didn't do anything else with them.
I reckon some SFX were not only loud but also annoying, and even lowering the volume won't help. I actually tried to lower them in the latest update, since they definitely affected the game in a negative way, specially when you have to listen to the same attack with loud screaming over and over again.
Also, yeah, this game definitely lacks horror, something I kind of regret, but oh well, I guess next time I'll make something scarier. At the time, I hope people can laugh at some of the jokes hahaha.
Anyways, thank you for your feedback and your kind words! : D
