I didn't see the escape pod the first few times and was just walking around picking up stuff and wondering why it kept resetting and then I read the description (I hadn't because I didn't want spoilers) and realised what I missing and kept an eye out for it.

On the planet itself three of my four stats zeroed with no consequences and it was only when the last one hit zero that I died. Sometimes, also, the text said I got a stat gain but it didn't reflect in the stat bar.

I'd like a little more narrative info as to how to raise sanity because it seemed the most arbitrary of trying to manage the four stats.

The "eat", "drink", "heal" options aren't particularly noticeable, especially because you can't put this game into full screen (that's a setting you need to change via the page "Edit" option on itch, which is accessible via your Dashboard) so the itch links on the top right of the page are partially obscuring the game area.

Having said all of that, narratively I really liked this.

Really liked the game, and I'm definitely not biased as someone not someone who also enjoys games about running through dungeons collecting items that give you benefits later ;p.

I thought it was a really great concept and loved the idea of having limited time to collect resources at the start to help you later. I feel a little more information at the beginning, explaining what's happening at each stage and what your goals are, would have been helpful. But overall, it was a really detailed game—well done!

As a fellow game dev newbie, massive high-fives for getting this together.

Developer

Massive high-fives right back at you! Thanks so much for checking out the game.

I liked this game!

I did find it hard to figure out what I needed to do at the beginning, I actually exited the game thinking it was just a game about collecting items, Until I saw your screenshot, I decided to do some more exploration and then found the main gameplay.

I also found that some options didn't line up with the results, for instance there was one with a small creature, I clicked "observe from a distance", but then the result was, your curiosity got the better of you, you leaned in for a closer look, and then the player took damage (lol).

This is a great submission for your first year of making games! Keep it up!

Thanks so much for playing, and for the feedback! Funny enough, that outcome with the small creature was actually intended – every dialogue option has a good or bad outcome, and it sounds like you just got unlucky with the 'leaning in' part (haha). I also agree that the onboarding should be clearer. I kind of just throw you into the game without any explanation, so that’s definitely something I’ll improve. Really appreciate the feedback, and thanks again for playing!

Awesome Job! Maybe some atmospheric or background music but the gameplay is fun and really well done

Developer

Thanks! I totally agree – some atmospheric or background music would have really added to the experience. To be honest, I kind of overscoped and ran out of time, so I was rushing to get the user interface sound effects in at the last minute. But i do appreciate the feedback!
