I really like the artwork for this game! its very simplistic vector art but very effective. And the concept for the game is pretty neat as well. I think the enemy ships could do with a little bit of telegraphing before they shoot. I have died crossing in front of one right as it shoots. Also you list WASD as the controls but only the arrow keys work. I also agree with the other comments that say you should make the story text faster. Great work!
It took me so god damn long to figure out that we have to give back the wreckage the the protagonist ship, god damn. Good interesting concept, and a nice twist on the usual generic gameplay that we see. I hate to say this, but I most of the times dont like to read stuff in my games, I just like to dive in and explore. The story mode had way way way too much text in it, with no chance of skipping.
This is a really solid idea! I love the story you used to back up the gameplay, and it was an interesting challenge and take on the theme. The art style is really good too. My main quarrel is that the controls are slightly finnicky, but it's not really bad enough to distract from the game. Very well done!
A rate in return would be awesome!
The concept is really cool.
Very cool game but the controls were kinda hard but ok. Rated!
Pls rate mine also : https://itch.io/jam/scorejam13/rate/1045688
Interesting concept. I did notice that if you die and the captain defeats all the enemies, the game soft locks.
Fun game, it’d be nice to fast forward the dialog so that I can read at my speed instead of the print speed. Overall lot of fun, and quite a unique idea!
very cool concept! I did feel like the controls were pulling a bit. I didn't feel like I had total control over where I was going.
I love the game! I just wish you could skip the intro to the story mode
