Nice idea with sword slashing and parkour movement through platforms. Sometimes I used sword dash as a speed boost. Fun little game and I like the idea, some further improvements and plans after the gamejam?
Hey, thank you for playing!
I'm actually re-creating the game right now, i'm planning on working on it for a month or two and then publish in itch.io for 2 or 3 dollars.
Sounds like good idea. I will be looking forward to this :-)
The aesthetic of this game is truly amazing, loved the art, and the music suits the game very good. The concept is interesting, overall this is a amazing game!
Thank you! Is really cool to read that you liked it
Very cool game! Very cool! I really liked her! You can modify it, make graphics, and it will be just a bomb! Super! Cool job! You are great!
Thank you for playing!
A fun game. The katana swinging effect looked and felt really good to play
Thank you! I used more time of the jam than i want to admit doing the katana swing
Liked the feel of the katana, but the jump was a bit floaty.
Overall nice game!
Thank you very much for playing it!
Thanks, very entertaining game! Visual part is attractive and music fits perfectly. Katana really adds to the gameplay. After finishing the last guy I returned to previous levels and realized I had some room for improvement so redoing levels was really fun too.
Thank you! It's really fun to read that you had fun with the game.
This is a great game!
Thank you!
I like the gameplay so much. The dash mechanic can do so many interesting things.
I would like to see how you develop this game this further if you choose too.
I think the background color is too saturated though.
Hey, thank you! I'm planning in working a little bit more in the game after the jam.
Another thing I forgot the mention: I love the fact that you get your dash back when you kill an enemy.
Kind of reminds me of the fun I had in Hollow Knight while attacking enemy to get further in the level.
Yeah, Hollow Knight was exactly the inspiration for that mechanic, but it doesn't work exactly as I wanted because most of the enemies are below the player so it's necessary to dash towards them for them to be killed and then the dash reset it's meaningless because you are already on the ground.
It would worked better if there were some enemies on the air so the player would be able to "fly" or some different attack that doesn't have the dash.
This is a really great concept. I really like the mechanic and the art style is really cool( I really like katana zero). The jumping feel a little bit to "floaty" for my liking but overall a really fun short game!
Thank you for playing! Yeah when I was creating the katana swing I had no idea how to do the effect so I started researching and got really inspired by Katana Zero.
Gameplay was great and the vibes were on point too, would love to see this developed into a full game.
Thank you very much! I was planning to work the game a little bit after the jam, but I don't know how much I will change.
gangster. when I first started, I thought the controls were tight but there wasn't much to do. then I got the sword. THEN the game started haha. precise, tight controls for sure. didn't take long to understand how to play. the timing was juuuust right. enough to make you nervous, but giving you room to play how you'd like. I think I ended with 754 coins in my bag after slaying the big bad. real decent game.
Thank you so much for playing! Your description of how you felt playing the game was also really cool to read, thank you for taking the time to write it!
fun game!
thank you!
good game design concept for speedrunning, too bad there's no leaderboards feature for that
Thank you so much for playing!
Yeah, I got a little bit confused with theme and thought it was only necessary to create a score system.
So far the best game I played during this jam. Really fun, I love the gameplay and minimalistic aesthetic. The cash system is nice. Good job.
Thank you very much!
