Not the most exciting mechanic but still managed to make it fun. Like the cartoon vibe and style and this style of game is excellent for a score based jam like this. nice work

A pretty fun simple game! Simple graphics, simple concept, and an interestingly unique way of viewing the "climb" theme. I think it might be cool though if the ladder hopping effect was a part of the game as opposed to just being a powerup, that way you could maneuver around the game better.

I actually enjoyed this one a lot despite the simple graphics. Maybe I can relate because my art also isn't too great haha.

The core gameplay loop is pretty funny and it's amusing to kick monsters off the ladders and watch them fall off the screen. The difficulty curve is also pretty nice and it gets very intense and frantic very quickly. I liked the music too, there's something charming about the game.

All I can really think to improve apart from the graphics is to add more enemy variety and maybe include some levels that progressively get harder as well as the endless mode.

This is a really nice entry and I had fun playing it. Good job! :)

Thanks for the feedback! The animations are unfortunately not as good as planned, I agree that there is quite some improvement to make.

Enemy variety is a nice idea, we'll look into that. On the levels, I think the endless mode fits the high score style of this jam better, but for a later release it might be a nice addition. Kees actually mentioned the idea of waves during development, so maybe that is something we could try too.

A great entry xD. I loved the simplistic gameplay and found it really easy to get into, the only I felt needed improving was the art and animations, other than that its a perfect entry xD

Thanks for the feedback! I totally agree with you on the animation part. I had some unexpected time loss so we couldn't draw the necessary sprites for the animations in time. I'm glad that we at least got some kind of climbing animation, but I agree that it could (or should) be a lot better.
