This game feels like the chaotic version of five night at freddy's
I was surprised by this entry, it was very interactive and that made it very entertaining! i could see this being expande and becoming a fully fledged game, is super fun! the whole aspect of having to defend from various angles is really entertaining.
Game is pretty fun, definitionally can see this being fleshed out. Some stuff seems to overlap, what I assume is the melatonin ends up costing me health cause I can't see enemies. Not sure if it was just me, but some enemies also gave very little time to react, with them almost instantly doing damage.
This was pretty good take on this type of gameplay, it could very easily be developed into more longer game with multiple levels and all. Also I'm quite found of the visual style of the game, it is very charming, keeps consistent and the variations that some monsters bring are fun. Sound design, which is extremely important for this type of game was also well executed, but for me it was a mistake just to jump into the game without properly reading what each monster does first hehe. Ended up being dogpiled with all of the sounds in the first few seconds, but that's completely on me. I think my honest only problem is that the parallax movement with the mouse feels off? It seems as if it's reversed, aka when I want to see more of the corner with the door for example, I need to move my mouse into the opposite corner. Regardless, you did a great job with this! I tried few times with different combos of enemies to see how it felt and it got quite challenging at points, so I had fun trying it out ^^
I love the concept, I think there's a lot of potential to stretch this out into multiple nights (introducing new monsters/mechanics and what not). It's pretty difficult right at the start (looking at the journal helped a lot) but I'm glad you added unique sounds for each monster so the player can rely on audio cues. I especially liked the closet monster design. Great work!
Interesting concept, difficult to remember all ways of protecting oneself.
Maybe there was some subtle hints but wish there were more during gameplay what monster dislikes what action, so that I'm not forced to remember all the different ways.
Part from that it was cool!
fun game hard to pick up.
For some reasons it reminds me of salmon run mode from Splatoon 2/3 with all the different enemies.
Confusing at first on how to play. I somewhat go the hang of it after several attempts. It would have been cool to slowly introduce new enemies on different nights; would have been a lot easier to learn.
Not sure what to do about the clock eye thing. It just ruins my happiness everything.
Somewhat of a steep learning curve for a game jam entry, but after you get the hang of dealing with the different enemies, its fairly fun.
