  • The minimalist design and lighting effects create a good sense of atmosphere and the sprites build the sense of tension. I love the library setting and the endless parallel bookcases creates a very striking setting. An easier reset or checkpoint would help!

Loved the artwork! The game design is also so minimal which makes it more cool! Excellent work

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the game!

You conveyed the spooks with such a minimal art style so well, Absolutely amazing sound design and overall very fun to play.

Developer

The minimal art style was because I had no time to make more detailed ones. But I guess it's a "Happy Accidents" moment since everyone loves it! When you play a lot of horror games, you kinda learn how to scare someone!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and the sound production is top notch. Super minimalist but gets such a great message across. Good work!

Thanks! Really glad you enjoyed it!

Ooooh, I like how you convinced me that I'd have the lantern and then took it away. Big fan of all the sounds here except the walking sound. Not a huge deal but each step has a distinct pitch/note to it and I can't stop hearing it as a weird percussion loop lmao. (my music brain at work)

Also appreciate how you didn't make the environment absurdly dark where I'd be able to see my own face reflecting off the monitor. This is a cool one!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, the sounds were kind of a last-minute thing. Didn't really put much thought into it lol馃槄. Glad you enjoyed it though!

I like the way this looks. It's also a small thing, but the footstep sounds add to the game's atmosphere a lot

Developer

I appreciate you appreciating the art style! I'm also a sucker for small details! Like how some games make a whole pipe network just for it to be a background thing.

I love the minimalist approach, use of light and darkness. Good one :)

Glad you enjoyed it! And the only reason it's minimalist was because I had no time to make detailed sprites 馃槄馃槄

Really awesome! I love how you set it up as an innocent experience before introducing a monster, it definitely caught me off guard. Also really love the lighting effects and the effects of the overlaid sprites (words, eyes, etc). Fun (and creepy) time!

Developer(+1)

I'm really glad you enjoyed the game! Making the monster's AI caused me a headache lol 馃ゲ
