I absolutely loved the format of this game! By the way, I think the missing pages people are mentioning went outside of the book's frame to the top. This may be a bug in this version of your game, but I think you guys should explore something like that as a game mechanic. Writings appearing in the wrong, or unconventional space could be used to convey the dwindling sanity of the writer(like in a book I started and didn't finish, called House of Leaves). Hell, all the events have been happening within the pages, but maybe you could even have something happen right outside the books on the table (ghost hand appears as the writer writes something they don't like?)

I think there's a lot of potential here, and it would be exciting to see you guys make this your niche and explored more.

That was a pretty creepy game, though I didn't like how some of the pages were blank when I picked some of the choices that were presented to me in the game. Nice jam entry!

Very fair, I have been looking into that bug for days now and believe I would have to overhaul the game to eliminate it. But we're glad you liked it overall!

Good story. Good game.

Some of the pages (often after a multiple-choice page) were blank. Regardless, I was still able to follow along. Very eerie story and the music sets a nice mood. I would have liked to have a darker setting, visually I mean.

Overall, cool entry.

Thanks so much! We have no idea why that bug after the choice pages is happening, but we're working on it. But we're glad you were able to enjoy the rest of the game. If it's not too much to ask, in what ways would you have liked the setting to be darker?

The book itself looked very well lit was what I meant. It felt to me that I was sitting in a well-lit room reading a book in broad daylight. Its not necessarily simple to make things "darker" though, so I understand.

Aaaah, great feedback, thank you!

This game has the most creepy vibe out of all the ones I have tried in this jam so far, well done!

Thanks a bunch! It was a good time making it, we were creeped out the whole time haha
