Proof that you don't need industrial amounts of assets for a enjoyable and tense game.
Loved the floor mechanics and I was far too comfortable with the just running around I turned the volume way up. So my shock when what I think was a giant pair of legs suddenly appeared on my screen was rather surprising.
Falling bricks remind me of Bastion by Supergiant Games. In that isometric game tiles not fall, but ascend or descend before a player (can't remember for certain) to form a path, then remain there forever.
Great job, I really liked the way you incorporated color to show when you're on the right path. Also very clever having the floor area you have to work with shrink as time passes, I had no idea until it was too late
The idea is really good, easy to understand and fun to play. Almost died in reality because of the skeletons.. cool screamers) Needed three tries to win, so I'd say it has nice difficulty level: you need a couple of tries to figure out how to plan your path better. Nice work!
The movement mechanics are really interesting, and I love the sound the floor tiles make when they fall! The first jumpscare nearly gave me a heart attack, but by the next one, I was laughing out loud X). Towards the end of the game, when I collected 4 flowers, my field of vision suddenly started shrinking until it narrowed down to just one square. After that, I immediately fell into a pit. If it weren’t for that moment, I would’ve finished the game. The game is pretty simple, but still very engaging!
Thank-you for playing! Indeed, at some point in the game your brick circle begins to shrink and you have to hurry up if you want to collect all the flowers and see the special ending.
I’ll try to play through the game again then.
