A very nice card game. Nice mechanics and I like the two decks of cards!

Developer

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked the game.

This is a fantastic card game with a really cool vibe! The music is well-composed and adds a lot to the atmosphere, though it could use a volume tweak. The art style gives me Wilds of Eldraine vibes from MTG, which is awesome and adds a lot of character to the gameplay. The sound effect when hovering over the cards is... interesting, Overall, it’s a unique and enjoyable card game.

Developer

Thanks for the kind words.

Really loved the game a personal fan of turn based card games very well done!

really loved the different mechanics of the cards made the game really shine and added a lot of replay ability

the sound design was also really well done loved how each card had their own kinda personality and the voice lines were all really goofy ah!!!

overall really good work excited to see what comes next for you.

Developer

Cool game. The cards are well drawn, the animations are cool (but sometimes they bug, for example, there is an empty space between the allied cards). The game lacks balance. At the beginning there is little mana, but at the end there is a lot of it and there are not enough cards. It is also strange that the opponent attacks the player and not his cards. And you can't attack the enemy directly, you need to destroy his cards first, it feels strange.

Also, for some reason, there are two exe files in the archive :D. If anything, run "Call of the Cards".

Thanks for playing and for the feedback.

Wanted to play the game on Linux, but it requires Unity or Steam, if I understand correctly. Could launch it if I really wanted, but it takes time and involves security risks (?), compared with playing in browser. I assume, there is more feedback for browser games in game jams, because you just click and play. For simplicity's sake I use JavaScript myself, and many people probably render their Unity games for browser (?).

Developer

Sorry for not making a web build of the game, I didn't consider the platform convenience.

I made a Linux build but to be honest, I have no way of testing it. I was unaware it had dependency requirements.

Thanks for your interest though.

Fun game! I really enjoy card games and this is a pretty fun game that plays a lot like Hearthstone. Definitely would be a cool game to see expanded past the prototype.

Developer(+1)

Hearthstone, MTG, and Inscription were the main inspirations for the actual card game. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for playing.

Game got stuck on the enemy's turn on the 6th mana unfortunately but up to that point it played great! Nice aesthetics and sound :)

Fixed the bug.

Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it.

I like the way the game feels. Sadly, i got stuck in opponents turn sometimes.

Developer

I worked a lot on the "game feel" part. There was a bug making the opponent stall around the sixth player turn; it's fixed now.

Thanks for playing, though.
