Great use of minimal graphics and flair. The power of that is you really leave it up to the imagination of the player to fill in the visuals.
Only suggestion I can add is I didn't know I had to use my mouse to click on the choices. The game mislead me to think I could only use A-D-E keys only. But that was me not realizing the buttons were clickable. It didn't deter from the experience at all.
Simple, straightforward, and enjoyable. Thank you for submitting this to the Scream Secrets Game Jam 2024.
Thank you for playing and rating!
About choice buttons I was thinking to make them selectable with W/S and confirm with E, but thought 'ehh, good enough' :)
I'm going to play your game, looks very interesting!
Had a good time with this! I'm not sure I can add anything that hasn't been said already, but I do think it comes together well, and the minimalism of the graphics works well with the atmosphere of the sound. Thank you for submitting it so we can all give it a look :D
Thank you so much! :)
Fantastic sound design, really simplistic aesthetic that I actually really enjoyed! It somehow made the game even more unsettling, I felt unsafe the whole time. That end startled me, this was a very effective game very fitting of the theme haha. Wonderful job!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)
I did focus on sound design to compensate minimalist art and I'm satisfied with end result :)
very nice art style!:0
Thank you!
It's really cool that you were able to convey so much with the minimalist design, leaving it to the imagination of the player to conjure the images. You've got the conventions of the room escape design sorted and I liked the idea of needing to backtrack for the puzzles, leading to the use of old objects in new ways. Nicely done!
Thank you for your detailed review! You've got everything spot on.
There's nothing scarier than a player's own imagination :)
with so little art it's amazing you can generate that anxiety feeling :D
Thank you :)
