Solid premise and foundation you've got here. Keep making games :D
The concept is sick I wouldn't have ever though of something like this. Like the previous comments said I agree the controls are a bit awkward but once you get the hang of it the concept is a lot of fun! I had an issue where I was almost in between x y coordinates for interactions and needed to time jumps of my ice spells to be able to land. had a surprising amount of fun and loved the concept genuinely!
It's a fun concept, specially when you have to switch on the fly between modes. The controls are very awkward though, is complex enough to benefit of using both hands to play it (movement left hand and skills right one). The other problem was the resolution, but it seems you're already aware of that.
Still, i liked it, its fun and I made it to to the snowman
This felt really good and was a great iteration on the theme! Great idea for the mechanic switching. The only negative feedback I have was the controls made it a little challenging to toggle between quickly. But it definitely wasn't a huge impact to the experience.
This is really cool. I'm a big enjoyer of difficult platforming, although one of the hardest parts is not being able to modify the awkward control scheme. It's still fun and worth it to learn it. I got to the snowman boss, and I'm not sure if there is anything after that. I don't think so.
I also noticed there are collectibles really high up above your head. I couldn't figure out if it was possible to get up there.
The main thing: I'm assuming that you developed this on a high resolution screen and you don't realize that it's not scaling down for people who have smaller screens (like 1080p max). So we have to carefully zoom in as far as we can and even then we only see portion of the screen.
Good obstacle design though.
Thanks for the feedback! Changing the control scheme and the camera issue were both something I was not aware of, so I'll look into fixing both of those post-jam. Sorry about the poor experience!
The scaling thing is unfortunate but I definitely enjoyed the platform obstacles.
Some of the platforming was super tough for my old fingers, but this was pretty fun
Thanks! I'll try to implement an option to change controls post-jam.
