Log Line
A fish creature shows up at your door and claims to be your child. In order to make ends meet, you donated your biological material to an odd clinic. You now have to make attempts to care for a child and break into the clinic for answers with a stranger offering weirdly devoted help along the way. Note: Everything is referred to as "biological material" with no specification of what it is. Curse words are censored or cut off (***). There is no mention of sex.

This game was a fever dream and I was impressed with the point and click and movement. And then the fish child pops out!!! Like what?! I loved this. This is one of my favorite entries for the jam. Good job!

Love how peculiar, strange, and mayhaps even bizarre the setting and setup is.  Also love the look of the sprites, they kinda Jhonen Vasquez in a way.

Thank you! I kind of see the resemblance!

Bizarre setting, I really like the visual style and am curious by where the story is going. God damn protag really is trying his best to be a good dad to this fish creature and I’m charmed by that LOL. I look forward to the full game in the future!

Thank you! Writing the "makes poor attempts to parent "scenes was really fun!!

A very caring father, doting on his fish daughter child. Sometimes, he wants to shove himself down the sink?!

This was a fun little story. The art style shift between the walking sprites and the illustrated character sprites makes me giggle. The interactions were comical, and I really enjoyed the exploration and puzzles. The demo was a nice treat! I wish there was a little note about an intention to develop further/to be continued, because at first I thought the game crashed hehe.

Really nice work. I would agree that the writing could use some proofreading and editing, but it didn't heavily impact my experience playing! Looking forward to the full game!

Thank you! Drawing the sprites was super fun (drawing crazy/???'s butt was super silly but probably my fav part, not sure why i did that), I'm glad you liked them!

I did add lots of bits and pieces here and there to try and make things make more sense after the playtest, hopefully it helped clear things up.  I agree proofreading and having a "end of demo" note would have made things better.

Can I ask which parts seemed confusing or needed more editing?

There were just some lines that either had typos or some lines of dialogue that could have the grammar corrected, minor writing issues! There were a few, just scattered throughout. But again, did not keep me from thoroughly enjoying the storyline and demo!

Aside from the comment I left on the game page, I really enjoyed what I was able to get through. It was a unique submission
