This is probably my favorite game I've played so far. It's got the N64 vibe down, and it's a really inventive idea. I hope you decide to polish this game and flesh it out more.

This game was actually a lot of fun! The style and overall aesthetics were spot on for n64. I liked the n64 controller C button UI too. Made things feel much more n64. Some feedback would be, with the flute, make the projectiles a tad more capable against the little mushroom things. That said, this is one of my favorites from the jam so far! Had a Zelda ocarina of time mixed with guitar hero type vibe to it. Well done! :)

Very N64. Gave me Zelda feels, especially the flute. Beating down felt satisfying :)

Enjoyed this one a lot, love that you can customize your character and it's satisfying to jam out for a second and then womp on the enemies for a bit. I feel like it would be really cool turned into a roguelike with procedurally generated content (music/enemies/powerups/levels etc)

Very great interpretation of the theme! This was a very clever mash-up of two incompatible genres. As others have said, I wish the combat felt a little better. I also wish there was more song variety. But this was an enjoyable surprise. Great job!

Thank you for the feedback! I tweaked the combat a bit in a quick patch, hoping it's a bit tighter and such (adding blocking too). I totally agree with the song variety, I might write some more music or variations later on, we'll see..

Nice. The character is slow, but other than that it's pretty cool. I think that when the player is attacking after completing the song mode he shouldn't be able to get hurt, but instead push the objects back

Developer(+2)

I released a patch that speeds up the character movement and animations (also I took your suggestion and the player is now invincible during the powered up state). Let me know what you think if you get a chance to play it again.

Nice. I'll give it a try again. I like the game a lot be cause I'm a musician and I like using the guitar as a weapon. I think it's crazy that it has axe blades on the side

Glad you enjoyed it! There is a final boss on level 11.

Absolutely loved the concept!

I also liked the idea of choosing the inicial weapon, and the visuals really feel like a N64.

My only complaints are that the weapons in general are a bit slow, and the mushroom enemies are a bit overpowered.

Also, since their bullets can still hurt (and kill) when the player is singing, is a bit harder to find a good moment to activate the power.

Thanks for the feedback, those are great suggestions.

I ended up increasing the player's move speed and attack animations, and slowed down the mushroom speed. Also added a blocking feature (hold right mouse). If you have a chance to replay the game, I'd love to hear more feedback.
