A very fun boss rush kind of the game. The are is very unique but very cool. The music for the bosses and even the fits themselves were quite fun. The plot was funny and the mechanics worked well. I did experience a crash while playing but due to the nature of the game, not much progress was lost, so thats really good. Super fun and I am keen to play more of it. ~

This is probably my favorite entry of all the games here.
The visuals are very cutesy and silly at the same time. I'm a big fan of simple character designs and every single one of the monster babes looked hot in their own way. I especially enjoyed the tortoise lady and the titty foxy. Lovely!
The gameplay was simple and fun. And even if you fight the bosses much the same way every time, they offered enough variations between one another. The last fight with the Angel was tough. The ricocheting stars would always get me once they started curving out instead of just going straight.
All in all a really great little game. Loved it all the way through!
I like the boss rush idea and you got quite a lot done for only a month. The difficulty definitely ramps up really quickly throughout the fight which caught me off guard but ultimately did make the game feel better. The only feedback I would give is that the UI elements are a bit small and may have been better to put at the top of the screen rather than the bottom. Not a major thing, I just think it was more important to see what was happening on the ground than in the air and so it feels like the UI would be less crowded at the top. But otherwise really great job!
The art style catches the eye immediately, very unique but fun! Music is great and the controls feel simple enough, if a bit hard to nail down.
Bosses had a wide range of difficulty which is expected, but it would be best to get some indication of what order might be best to approach them, for instance the turtle boss was easy to do first try while the plant took many attempts. Only specific issues I had was how the plant boss' particles (the ones that show where the roots will sprout) also hurt the player which defeats their purpose, and that the moth boss' projectiles can hurt you on their way up, which felt a bit cheap. The game could also benefit from having some amount of i-frames since some bosses can really stack hits on you one right after another under the right conditions.
Other than that though, it's a good challenge and plenty of fun! I couldn't beat the final boss yet but I feel compelled to keep trying since I'm having a lot of fun (I also massively appreciate the fact that the game saves, since that final boss might take more than one session). Well done!
A boss rush was such a fun idea for a jam game! I appreciate how consistent the art style is even across really different looking monster girls and all the other elements. The little dialogue intros were just enough to give the characters some personality and connect all the fights together without slowing down the pace. Most of the fights are pretty tough but every time I got beaten I wanted to jump back in, and I always kept getting better with more tries. I did eventually have to throw in the towel against the angel as I couldn't quite get the hang of dodging the burst projectiles and my hands were starting to go out. I thought the sense of humor fit really nicely and the bonus unlockables were a good touch as an extra reward for the challenge. Great job!
This was surprisingly challenging! Definitely took me a few tries to defeat those bosses and score those dates. The writing is funny, and I feel like the game's overall (deliberately ridiculous) tone really worked.
Also, there's just a lot of good game design on display here. This is a perfectly decent boss rush game! The monster girls are all unique and have predictable but still challenging patterns. The difficulty is maybe a bit on the high side, but of course that's partially the point of this sort of game.
Also, for the record, I played it in WINE on Linux and it seemed to run without issue.
Ah, that is actually nice to know that the game can be played on Linux with emulation. I've had some people play my games with WINE before.
I must apologize for still using the old version of GameMaker that doesn't allow me to port my games anywhere else than Windows. I'm just most comfortable with that engine.
Hope I could some day spend some time to learn Godot or some other handy game engine.
Wow, this was a lot harder than I expected it to be. I don't know if it's having to deal with the flying controls or just the boss' attack patterns, but I had some real trouble with D. Snut and Ms Toad; I just couldn't figure out how to avoid them, especially Ms Toad.
I found the invincibility window a tad too short as well, cause some bosses can hit you twice with the same attack, which feels a little unfair.
Difficulty aside, though, this was a really solid game. Excellent work!
It was quite a challenge, and I was ecstatic when I finally beat the final boss! I think the difficulty should’ve been toned down (like decreasing every boss’s HP by at least 20%), and it was hard to manage both A and S buttons throughout the entirety of the last fight. I’ve had to take multiple breaks from my hand hurting - maybe make the shooting automatic so we only have to worry about pressing A? Still, the graphics are simple but fun, I had some trouble reading the location of the eyes on the last phase (sometimes they spawned under other eyes, or on top of the clouds), it was fun to figure out the strategy for each boss while getting used to the Flappy Bird-like movement.
Good review there. Helps me come up with stuff to update in the game.
I can agree that the bosses have unnecessary amount of health, just some of their attacks are tied to their current hp. I'd need to adjust that as well.
Technically you can keep holding the attack button and the player will keep shooting, but at a very slow rate. I'm hoping that the shop/upgrade system I'm planning to add will help with making the game more accessible for people of varying skill levels.
Oh yeah, and those eyes, gotta fix em.
This was such a blast to play, I absolutely love the aesthetic, especially (of course) all the monster designs. If there had been lewd platformers for the TG-16, this probably would have been one of them!
I loved the character designs and the animations throughout the battle was good. The gameplay was fun!! All around a solid game!!
Now this was a pleasant surprise. Good sound design; I especially like how the sound of shooting feathers changes as you run low on ammo, because it means I don't have to glance down at the hud as much. I like how squishy all the characters are and Little Bird is a cute and badass protagonist, very fun to play as. The bosses are all unique and interesting. Some of them seemed easier than others, but I don't see anything wrong with that. I had a lot of trouble with Ms Toad. My favorite was Jinmom: she surprised me multiple times, and even took me to a mutual KO at the end (but I still got the star for defeating her). The final boss is exhileratingly difficult. Overall I had a blast.
You've done a really wonderful job with this one! The characters are all imaginative, uniquely sexy and are given some real life with the animations you've made for them! The short dialogue intros do a surprising amount of work in establishing who everyone is. I love the reward pictures, they offer a different perspective of the cast and are a nice bonus. Even the tutorial has a lot of flavor with the unique animations and environments!
The gameplay is really good. The controls are precise and unique. The idea of a flying character in a platformer fighter feels new and very fun. I like how well the motions and audio cues line up with what the boss is planning on doing. Some of the fights have a bit of a slower start, but each one brings its own sets of challenges and has a distinct flavor highlighted by your character designs. If you're planning to update the game, you could try having two bosses on a single stage for a big post-game challenge!
I know that you write your own music, and I think this game's tracks are some of your best ones yet! The audio design overall felt very good with different sounds for everything that's happening to give the player some action cues.
Very nice work Nekolag! Thank you for the game, I have enjoyed the experience!
Aww, thank you for checking my game, I really appreciate the feedback. It is clear to me that my game needs some refinement, so I'm planning to work on an update once the voting period ends. That could included additional bosses, and your twin boss idea could work nicely with my other friend's suggestion of a boss fusion. I'd also wanna explore bosses where the screen keeps scrolling forward, so you'd need to be constantly moving.
Oh yeah, I did make my music, I did struggle a bit. But I think a mix of chiptune and some synths/midi instruments made the music sound game-like enough with some energy to it.
Hey, I remember you from the Summer of Smut Jam last year.
I personally don't find your creatures very erotic, but I really admire your creativity. Also very good use of sprite rigging animation.
Regarding the gameplay: I needed some time to get accustomed to the way the character controls, but it clicked really well after some time. The opponents have patterns that are challenging without ever feeling cheap, and they have a good difficulty progression. But I think that most of them could have used a bit less health. One thing I would have wished for is some more guidance regarding the order in which to fight the opponent, because they vary a lot in difficulty.
