The concept is interesting and original. It's like throwing pebbles into a lake. I liked it. You do not have any chance to make a bad tunes :)
This is good, highly irregular and unique take on the brief and one of the more "game like" entries I've played. I feel like this would do well as some kind of puzzle game.
It took me a minute to understand how to make it work but after that I had a lot of fun just trying different combos, I really like the idea!
I like the mechanical idea behind this one, I could see expanding it to a puzzle/strategy game of some sorts.
Thanks for sharing your progress and listening to feedback on Discord. It’s a great concept that really gets you thinking, like Factorio or a Zachtronics game. I might add stereo pan and filter frequency parameters to each note. The more mechanical parameters (i.e. layer, mask, influence, cooldown, speed) could use title attributes that explain more about them. Nice work!
Very interesting idea, I think this has the potential to be a very powerful tool and to make some very nice sounds, but I think the default parameters definitely need to be changed, it took me a while to notice that the frequency was below audible range. My suggestion would be to work on the default parameters for new notes, and maybe have a couple of preset grids to show some of the cool things that can be done with your tool.
Very nice work overall :)
Wow! Excellent idea! It took me a while to get a sound out of it, but after randomly increasing all the parameters it got really interesting! This is really sophisticated stuff with lots of features and would work well both visually and sonically for performance or sound art. It might just be a good idea to add some kind of tutorial or instructions, even if only on the itch page.
