game was a good attempt at a one week game however there were no instructions and i did not know that i could shoot untill i was forced to attempt the second level and the gameplay felt a bit repetative other than this it was a good attempt.
I seemed to experience a rare bug as I couldn't seem to reproduce it after the first time, I loaded up the game and other than shooting, I couldn't seem to move. However restarting allowed me to experience your game. It was a nice experience and worked quite smoothly.
Given my experience with the bug and not knowing what the controls were, I think that it would be a good idea to have some kind of indication as to what you should be using.
Really solid platformer, good enemy variation and responsive controls. Like others I didn't realise I could shoot before being forced to look up why I couldn't complete the second level. The jump boost powerup was a really nice addition too, but I feel like a lot of people may have missed it. I had a lot of fun with this, nice one!
Had a rather run time here, the art could of been slightly better but seeing that you didn't have very long to make this game its not a big issue, the mechanics were fairly interesting although I didn't even notice that you could use a weapon so for me the game had more challenge... as a whole I personally am very impressed here and can see this being a really fun game with a little more time contributed to it.
A rather interesting game, this was fun to play!
Didn't realise at first there was a weapon to use, so I ended up playing without it at first ( and had a rather difficult time)
the controls are easy to pick up, and it was fun to play! nice job
Decent Game! Worked well and didnt experience any glitches.
I found using the W key annoying as the jump mechanic. I must be so used to the space bar! But I like that it adds an element of skill to the game which makes it more unique!
I would have liked some music maybe? Or some game sound?
It's tricky but not to hard and overall a good game!
Great game - I love the enemy animations, it really helps the game come alive. The visuals were pretty awesome and the different mechanics of the game make it even more fun - well done! :D
Really fun game with some cool unique features like the gun. There were a couple of powerups there I couldn't get to and I think the game is a bit harsh to not have checkpoints at each level. However, its a solid and addictive game. Good job!
Liked the overall idea of the platformer being in a jungle and that the wildlife was the main enemies, and I liked how you had the treasure spawn in different parts each time. There were some things within the chest part however that did go off from one spawning at a place where I was unable to reach or work out how to get there, with this I feel that background music and audio effects could of made the game stand out as well and made me want to play for a longer duration. However this was still a good platformer overall.
An interesting take adding a mouse controlled gun, visuals are serviceable and are not intrusive. All in all a good attempt at the genre. Even adding hidden blocks which you can find by firing the gun is quite unique.
Some player feedback is definitely needed, it can be hard to tell when you have made a mistake as well as what level you are on. The lives are a good indication but I feel perhaps should have been in a place where players would be more aware. Some rudimentary audio would have gone a long way to improve the player experience. Some of the platforms on the 4th(?) level seemed out of reach and a clear solution couldn't be seen otherwise.
Some touch on polish and tweaking would result in quite a strong submission, and it is submitted relatively early. Good work.
This for-fills all the key game play requirements. Well done. And its early. You haven't added all of your team as contributors though i think?
I have not yet. I am in the process of doing so; I just need them to let me know what their usernames are.
