I like this idea - though the gameplay is reminiscent of Flappy Bird, the background visuals give the illusion of speed making it pretty intense. Great job on that!

You may want to check on the hit detection though. A few times I died after going down (without making any contact with the grass).

However, this is still a pretty nice game.

Developer

yeah apologies i had some problems with the colliders on the grass and implementing better fit ones. thanks for the feedback

This must have been one of those cars people mess with the suspension on because this car jumped like i have never seen before!

A nice game and it does a good job of that classic "flappy bird" style game.

The assets look quite nice but i think the green blobs could be a tad nicer in keeping with the other assets in the game.

Overall pretty good fun, the score board works well and the car does some crazy jumps!

Developer

thanks bro, if i had a little more time on the game i probably would've brushed up on the grass a bit more and yeah i still wanted the car to have that jump to still be visually appealing glad you liked it thanks again for playing

Overall a  well made game. The menu screen is a nice addition as well as hitting any of the grass resets your game. And having the car move up and down was cool. I would say though that some of the green needs to be cleaned up a bit as there are small green lines along the screen. If you want a slightly cleaner look I would consider trying to use tile mapping for your levels instead. It makes it easier to edit and you can easily move things out of the way if it becomes a problem.

Developer

yeah sorry about the green lines i didn't quite notice that thanks for letting me know, and i'll think about using tile mapping next time sounds good

The gameplay works quite well, seem like you've made a good start on a pretty fun game. Still feels kinda limited at the moment as, like Samuel was saying, the visuals are a little confusing as I could not work out what the green blocks are meant to be.

yeah the grass does need a little more work and i'll work on making a more smoother visual look for the next one thanks

The gameplay is responsive and intuitive, but the visuals don't make a lot of sense with how they're implemented. For example, I assume the obstacles are meant to be turns in the road, but with the dissonance between them and the speed of the background, it looks more like big green blocks that are inexplicably on the road.

Developer

yeah the visuals need some work thanks for playing and i'm glad you like the gameplay
