Which Theme did you choose?

Twisted Fairytales

How did you implement your chosen Theme into your game?
I implemented the idea of fairytales by using a fantasy theme for the game which elements are more commonly seen in fairytales such as witches and minotaur's. The overall game also follows a small story similar to that of a fairytale.

Did you implement any of the Bonus Challenges and if so, which ones?
nope

Cute little game!  I love the graphics--super cute.  On my laptop the menu screen was way too big and cut off at the edges so I had to guess where the start button was.  The game itself scaled correctly, though!  The little narrative bit at the beginning also faded away a bit too fast so I couldn't finish reading it.  The actual gameplay worked well though!

Notes from gameplay:

- Distinctive icon for menu!

- Creepily enchanting music in menu

- Intro text fades out too quickly to read it. This text is pretty important!

- No music in game?

- "Find the missing" art is nice, but it's blurry

- Character art is cute! Level design is nice, but there's some blurring to it

- Victory music is nice, but doesn't seem like it fits the game

- Replaying the game leads directly to victory screen again, need to reset variables on a replay

Overall, short and sweet, but there's room to expand this out into a bigger game with more levels if you want! Nice art!

Presentation is superb. Everything looks incredibly polished. For a first game, it is great. I second the comment about the head rotation, a limit would be nice. I don't think it's as horrific as it could be, as it felt more magical and cute than it did scary. Overall, well done.

Lots of polish and it all looks really good. I especially like the cauldron particle effects.

A very simple but cute game! Good work for your first game :)

Just maybe put a limit on her head rotation xD  Too easy to make it look like shes snapped her neck haha !
