How did you choose to implement the Theme: Alien Infiltration in your game?
We decided a fun idea for the theme would be to flip the script and make the humans the aliens. According to Mariam Webster the definition of alien is simply ‘belonging or relating to another person, place, or thing’. Therefore, if the player is a different lifeform then the humans are by definition the aliens.
The premise of Escapoid involved Humans having infiltrated the players homeland and have captured the player along with others to study them through cruel experimentation.
Did you implement any of the optional Bonus Challenges, and if so, which ones?
We have touched on two of the bonus points.
Point 2 – Alien Imposter, through the players ability to impersonate other enemy or alien characters to make use of unique abilities.
Point 3 – Cruel Experiments. The player’s aim is to escape the prison they are on, along the way they see the cruel experiments that have been performed to the other lifeforms the humans have captured. We have also built this theme into the gameplay, with other lifeforms acting differently toward the player as a result of the experimentation they have endured.

I liked it, the story is interesting. The imposter mechanic seems simple, but it gives a lot of gameplay variations.
Very interesting and creative mechanic! The writing is good and I enjoyed the variety of creatures.
I loved the changeling mechanic, has a lot of potential to continue exploring it after the Jam for a neat puzzle game. Great job guys!
Really cute game, really interesting perspective for this jam, selling the fact that humans are the true monsters. Wanted the alien to survive and save all of his friends. Seeing the humans ray of vision kind of took away from the horror though, even if I get why you decided to show it to the player.
Enjoyed it a lot!
I loved the game, pretty cute protagonist and nice story. Not super scary though, which is unfortunate
This is solid, the story's is great and I like how you captured the theme. The pixel art is cute and well done. I missing the horror though.
