I don't have a VR set for this among us experience :(
So, it's a very enjoyable VN, with a pairing most unexpected. Liked the portraits, especially Quality™ EIrin's. The soundtrack, nothing else other than "Quite good" too, really boosted the atmosphere.
The story (and a bit of the setting too), really interesting. The two characters who got together, even more so (and this ship even made sense thanks to the writing).
I'm really glad to see PC-98 representation! I also really like how this bar and its customers/staff are written, very consistent and feel like it has always been here - and really feel like they belong to Touhou canon.
Wow, the clash of the princesses from both worlds.
Funny thing, I thought they were playing minecraft and boom, minecraft bar xD.
This was very nice to see, I totally needed to see what happened when pc98 meet windows saga.
And still, watching them getting along was such a natural feeling.
The font is a terrible choice, is very hard to read, i j t and l look quite simmilar on this text. That's my only complaint on this work.
While I worked on this project with Aeon, I have seen very little of the actual writing and gameplay of this among us vr experience-- our games have basically nothing to do with each other storywise. So... this is mostly blind. And wow, I like it a lot! It's got a fun & unconventional story, the characters (especially Kotohime) are both incredibly verbose yet distinct, and it feels like every other line has some obscure reference that I'm only halfway catching-- I should probably read through it again just to understand half the stuff being said. I think the battle section could've been cooler in some way. Not sure exactly how though.
There's a whole lot more to say about this, but for some reason my mind is blanking right now. Great freakin' job on everything.
In short, 'twas an among us vr experience.
thanks color quantized larcei
if you think the battle section could be cooler boy let me tell you about a game that does exactly that. its free and out now and you can download it and run it on your computer in english or japanese for free on machines of any performance level. download today. if you do not do this you will explode
Bravo for swinging for the fences with this [AMONG US VR EXPERIENCE}, you could really feel the [SUS] like never before.
(But seriously, really good job.)
Without getting into spoilers, you treat the characters with a certain heart and make them feel natural with one another, even despite all the different elements. There's some very unconventional choices, but for such an [AMONG US VR EXPERIENCE], that's a great thing. I love things which take whacks at "normal" conventions, and this takes the cake. The nods are wonderful, too. Visuals can be a bit uneven, but with only a month to implement all this together, I won't hold it too much judgement.
thank you very much!!
the hardest part was separating the verbiage of the lunatic princess from that of the maniacal princess
i am very lucky many people know about the very esoteric touhou information included in this game, thought i would get comments full of ????????????? because of inane references to things that only have stub pages on the wiki
when i wrote in refer to my game as among us vr experience i did not know it would show up on the main rating page! however i do not regret it
this was the deepest among us vr experience I've ever experienced
I really loved the story and writing and the selection of characters was very unique! I don't know what Kotohime is like in canon but I think this interpretation of her was very well-done.
Gameplay was a crazy mishmash of stuff, but it all somehow works out in the end. The presentation is really something too - there's a big art style clash that I can chalk up to time constraints, but that's not what I'm talking about. What I'm talking about here is how the story... progresses? I can't really talk about here without spoiling everything, but lategame is just amazing and that ending surprised me a lot. Looking forward to what you do with the story in the future.
kotohime has approximately twenty lines and minimal screen time in her only game appearance but they are quite striking!
the artstyle thing yeah we kinda had five people helping do art and everybody was constrained in some way or another
thank you for playing kotohime game number one look forward to the other one by luyuu!! when we get our final assets together!! i promise its real!!
Eirin has seen better days xD Maybe she needs some vitamin cuz that Hourai Elixir isn't reviving her correctly.
I love the Soundtracks, jazzy Immortal Smoke is great.
yeah we do a bit of last minute "we do not have an eirin sprite" in mspaint. for fun
the music is quite great, got tami to thank for that
You know, it might tie in nicely as we view from Kotohime's POV, maybe that's how she sees Eirin, a piece of MSPaint mess xD
Yes, great writing! The music is pretty good and those dialogue SFXs are tasty. PC-98 characters have a special place in my heart so I love seeing more of them. I really enjoyed the relationships between them expressed here. And everyone had great lines.
I had a bug during the battle and then during the debate where a fairy character would get stuck and I'd have to quit the game. I was going to comment about it earlier but fortunately it didn't occur again and I was able to complete the game.
Also, the title screen is really neat.
thanks!! tami did the music and she did incredibly, great variety of stuff here
sorry about the issue, i know a few things are jank. i kinda built this off of a big ol danmakugame i was making, and squishing it into undertale and not using it for anything else made some things a bit weird. glad it only happened once
the title screen was created from a base of a screenshot of a massive windows crash that took hours of progress with it. i just put a buncha filters on so i could at least get something out of it
Ah, I see your ploy. Lure 'em in with the memey screenshots and lowered expectations, then hit 'em with the genuinely great writing and atmosphere (and a little bit of the promised memeyness). How devious
they tell me "AEON PLEASE the game is CRASHING you are the ONLY programmer" and i am sitting here learning how to generate mapart with structure blocks on the microsoft docs
thank you for playing glad you liked it my trickery is unending
Cool game. i dont know touhou but it was still pretty cool.
who are you
the plot was p good, i enjoyed the placeholder eirin and suddenly undertale lol. i don't think i know enough about some of these characters outside the context of this game to understand some of the references tho
yeah sorry lmao we used the most obscure ones possible
glad ya liked it, thanks for playin
