I really enjoyed this, it was weird that we have a touhou game with NO touhou characters, and I thought it was a bad thing, but the setting was so perfect that it worked out so well.
Very short but quite complete, the only problem is replayeability, since every answers are still the same and the length of the game makes this even easier, but the first run is quite challenging because of the tricky questions, so it's very satisfying overall.
Having a game that's only made up of OCs is extremely cool. The quiz was fun too!
Neat quiz game. Getting a wrong answer and seeing your lives go down was surprisingly suspenseful. Yua's animations were pretty sweet, and so was the music.
Also, wow the game is also in Spanish! Nice job! I wanted to translate our game into Spanish too but we didn't manage to do it all on time (and haven't done it yet, heh). But I praise you for it and hopefully we see even more games available in Spanish or other languages in future jams!
Pretty enjoyable quiz game. The trick questions are really clever, and got me good the first time around. Oh but the other questions were interesting too of course.
I also really like how the two characters are introduced to us in such an organic way, through the quiz no less. Like how we learn about the pet frog. (btw, what's up with frogs changing shape? Is it common knowledge, never heard of it before)
Very gay I love it
It would have been nice to see more Touhou related questions, but as somewhat of a newbie myself I appreciated something I could play without worrying about spoilers ^^
Short and sweet, really well put together!
Love the art and all the little animations
Touhou Trivia is a very cute concept, and making two non-Touhou charactes do it while keeping to the tenants of the Touhou universe is an especially bold move. I feel like it adds wonderfully to the universe in its own strange way, especially if you get to the true ending. I found myself wanting to know more about both the characters by the end of it, so it's a shame it has to end when it does. The options to flirt with the youkai are fun as well. The visuals are great and have a sense of ownership to them, for sure, and the music is good too. The programming, like Luyuu points out, leaves something to be desired (my cllcking multiple times to get out of stuck or repeating dialog resulted in my getting a question wrong, for instance.) But this is a very solid effort, and I look forward to seeing more of your work!
Got the True Ending. Pretty fun little game, with great art & atmosphere. I have mixed feelings on the questions themselves-- I really liked the ones that had nothing to do with Touhou, but the ones about official characters were a little... basic.
Also it seems like the dialogue system is slightly broken? Some sentences are supposed stop in the middle and continue after you click... but instead the whole sentence repeats. At first I thought it was an intentional writing thing, but now it seems like a bug.
I loved the character writing as well, by the way. Real fun stuff.
In short, 'twas spookily charming.
An OC game submitted for a Touhou Jam... very bold move! Despite the focus on OCs you did ground the setting in the Touhou universe, which I think is nice and would fit in with the guidelines. I think there could have been more questions related to Touhou than just the SDM and Reimu one, however.
The trick round was an interesting concept and I wish it could have been explored more, but I guess it can be frustrating. I'm glad there are checkpoints at least.
Visuals and audio were definitely the highlight of the game, I think the style lends itself well to the tone and gameplay you were going for. I do hope you can create more works with this style if you want to, you can definitely stand out if you hone your skill more.
Story-wise it's just a short little tale about a human and a youkai, nothing much to say here. However what I would like to talk about is the ending branching. I feel like the choices were a bit too simple? For me, there should have been more choices or ways to split the route branch, such as multiple correct answers that lead you to different paths and affection levels. Yua's reaction to you getting her "What comes after G" question correct could have been an opportunity to explore this for example.
Overall good work! I think there's a lot of potential to be seen.
the worlds strongest opponent: evil miku sakuya
her questions are not very dangerous and you have many chances but still neat
i like how it is short and very complete
