Pretty tough little runner. Could barely beat 18 the first few rounds.

I like the area-concept - each area having some specifix behaviour attached to it.

Right now there is not enough room/time to abuse those mechanics - but the concept is solid. Maybe slow down a little or give the player more room to maneuver.

The music fits the game well.

For everyone going after the highscore: The hitbox only covers the legs - the black area up top is a trap.

What do you mean a trap?

I went there, trying to hide behind the score text but it turns out the hit box remains far enough in the red area so you still get hit :(

Okay I see. I added the score pretty last minute and didn't really have time to do anything but add boundaries to the players movement.

The speed-up part in sync with the music was great! It was a little disorienting to change your movespeed based on color though, and a high-score to chase after would have been cool too. Otherwise very happy with it!

Thanks! I picked out the music last but decided that would be a fun moment. I think the stripes could have used some texture to indicate their effect, like a plus or minus sign to indicate speed change or a reverse arrow to indicate direction. A high score would have been great but I've never done one in Godot before and I ran out of time. Great suggestions though!

The game  idea is pretty good but it gets extremely hard after the first speed up. And sometime s there is no way to be able to dodge the obstacles. All in all good concept, but its to hard (for me) .😢

Edit :

Collisions are quite unfair triangle has a square collision.

My best is 43.14

Sorry to hear that.  The speed-up might have been a bit too aggressive, but it added such a cool moment I didn't want to leave it out. As for the triangles, I assure you they do have triangle collisions. However, I just reviewed my code, and the player's collision capsule extends a little past their feet by accident, that could be the issue.
