Sorry I have to remove 2 Stars from the 3 Hours Part
Damn you clock - why must you be so punishing :(
Thanks for giving it another shot :)
My rules for time stars
Every started overtime hour is -1 star, but you still have a good rating.
I have the same rules for everyone I don't want to be rude :(
JK, I follow very similar rules to time ratings. I am glad I did go into overtime though. Much more of a unique game now - points be damned.
To be honest you have more stars than before your changes since the game is now much better
Shame about time sneaking up on you, but I appreciate the vision you were hoping for. I hope you expand on it post-jam and hoping to see you again in another TriJam!
After asking if that is alright with the rules I just uploaded a newer version with some puzzle-levels included. Would be great if you checked it out :)
Umm... it's Snake. With rainbow pieces. And an easy mode. I'd be interested to see your post-jam build, but right now I'm sorry to say it's too basic.
I know - nothing to be sorry about. Just couldn't get it done. I'll upload the post-jam version as soon as the rating is done. I hope you'll try it then :)
I think its good you always should try to imagine how much work someone put it. Not everyone is an expert game developer and makes ultra cool games in 3 hours. But I understand what you mean.
On the other hand the harsh comment motivated me to ask if I can just upload a newer version...sure I am now way overtime with 4+ hours but now its closer to what I had intended - would greatly appreciate some feedback.
Sorry if I was harsh, rereading my comment I see how I could come off that way. I try to give honest feedback but there's a fine line between honesty and cruelty.
It's fine . I commented on it "just being snake" in my original description but I was just making excuses. There would have been no point to just present snake because I went out of time. Much better to invest a little more time to present something that is more interesting even if it means going on overtime.
It's not about the ratings after all :)
I don't really understand the goal of the game? Seems cool, but it seems like you just wander the same room for the entire game. Still, the idea has potential
Currently it's just classic snake - so the goal is to get as long as possible :)
I'll add the actual levels post-jam.
Thanks for your feedback!
Two words
Spinning Obstacles !
Uh, I'll add spinning obstacles to the list. Currently I just have fat tails as an additional feature - and teleporters on the list
Spent some time trying to get the colors in the right order, then read the description and found out that's not how it works right now.
Yeah - I thought I'd easily recreate snake and then still have time to add the puzzle-mechanics and levels in 3 hours.
As it turns out: I thought wrong. Hope you still enjoyed a nostalgic round of snakes at least :)
Added some puzzles - much appreciated if you try'd it again :)
Tried the first three puzzles. Third one beat me! Of course I didn't have a lot of time right now, so I might have been able to beat it if I spent more time. Still, very nice!
Just to do the do the joke math teachers like to say
Question : Hoq long was your dev time?
You : 3
Teacher 3 What ? Apples ? Pears ? Bananas?
Jk, I really like the moving snake.
3 fantasy time units which translates to roughly 3 hours and 15 minutes realtime :)
Corrected it so non-fantasy-people can understand.
Snake's gotta move with the times obviously !
Ahh i know this time unit its really easy to use
1 FantasyUnit == 1.083 Periodic Hour
