Good job tapping into that part of the brain that likes to make things grow.
A bit of a shame it ended just as I was getting my unstoppable army ready :P
The way the music syncs up with the first enemy appearance was one of my favorite things about this game! I also loved how you could upgrade the bodies on both speed and attack to create the ultimate soldier. Couple this feature with the meta game where you can keep switching the positions of the bodies and I think you have a really strong core loop.
I was a little bummed out by how you can't clone the upgraded versions though I understand how that could've broken the game, haha. Also the part where placing a body on a tile with an enemy doesn't stop them took away some opportunities for last ditch sacrifices.
But this was a really fun and well made game. Good job!
Can I comment on how you nail reviews?! You give these games great respect and take the time to understand them and I wanted to let you know how I recognize and appreciate this. The music syncing up was a happy accident that after I realized it had a "drop" I had to time it to that point. I would've wanted to make a countdown timer but because of lack of time, the audio sync worked nicely instead. I agree about the last ditch sacrifice, I've seen people try to do it and I WANT to allow that but I already submitted haha, but yes that should definitely be allowed. I also realized a bit late how the cloning icon is a bad representation of what is actually happening since it's not a one to one clone. Thanks for saying so about the game loop, I would love to keep going with a nice upgraded version of this since I have plenty of ideas that I believe would add to the experience (or possibly break it haha)
Thanks for playing and thanks again for your in-depth comments on everyones game!
Oh damn, thanks! I try my best at them and hope they help.
Yeah, with a firm foundation like this it'll be so cool to see what you turn this into with more time! Stoked to see your ideas put to work and hey, some of the best games are broken as heck so go all out! Haha..
Wish you the best of luck with this and thanks again.. :D
Wow thank you! I really appreciate this, your title has such style that it makes this comment that much better!
To much information at the beggining. So I got confuse. But then I got it! It was kind hard ,
But I enjoy it! Good job!
Thanks, yes I agree. I enjoy trying to make things as simple to understand as possible so I hope it made sense quickly. Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it.
very nice concept ...can't expect much in 3 hours ...please take it forward to a better version with proper menu and stuff ...would like to play for sure
Thank you! I appreciate the comment about moving forward with it and something I believe we always consider and hope to hear whenever we release a small project.
Original idea for the game but you can improve the clarity of the visuals to help to understand how the game works.
Very fun and interesting game overall.
Thanks for playing! Great suggestion, I definitely agree. Hopefully this version still made sense to get an enjoyable experience.
Great entry!
If you have am object that manages spawn rates and level of enemies I recomend to do some levels (from easy to HELL) so you let players learn your game, it's requirements, and the things they should keep in mind.
It felt like Starcraft when I had to manage that every slot is making something and every threatened line is being defended. Congratulations for reaching that that mood!
To conclude, cool entry, cool game, very good design, art & sound. Study difficulty curve.
Definitely, I have Flow and do my best to live by it, haha. Thanks very much for playing and the amazing words, It did give me a sense of Starcraft as well with the micro managing aspect, so I am very glad you got into that mood. Thanks again!
Thanks for everyone that's played it so far and have given feedback. It's all gold and I appreciate it!
I am not sure I get it.. Looks good, fun and creative art style for sure! Nice sounds that fit the look and feel.
But as many others are point out, it is very difficult.
In case you revisit, you are dragging your little clones on to different areas of the game to stop the enemies from getting across the screen. Thanks for playing it!
I only ever got one little guy though
Oh I see, if you put it in the left white square you will start creating more little guys to keep upgrading. This is great feedback!
Puh, tough one. Sacrifices have to be made early to survive...
Overall a really nice tower defense game. A little too fast for me - a wave mechanic would be nice to give you a chance to regroup.
Visuals and audio are great though - good job ! :)
Thanks, yes sacrifices must be made for the colony. I like the idea of waves to allow you to build up, thanks for playing.
That's incredibly difficult, seems to me :( Enemies with less health and faster upgrades would make it :)
But except that it's really nice job. Art and audio and everything...
Thanks for playing it! I would definitely like to explore balance since it seems everyone finds it very challenging. Thanks for the idea
