Very fun. Good premise. It gets a bit slow by the end, when you just wait for the last criminal to do something. The scoring is really spot on.

I would have rated audio and visuals at 5 if they were made during the jam.

Thanks! Yes I think in balancing i have to mainly make the beginning to start slower and the end to finish quicker :) although i kinda like the suspense in the end, when you're just waiting for that last crime to happen...

Fair enough about the rating  :) those who do everything including arts in 3h should be rewarded after all

Pretty fun! In the beginning it was a little overwhelming, but it balances out a lot as you start to weed out the criminals.

did, however, get to a point where crimes just stopped happening entirely. There was a single vandalism in a period of about 60 seconds. Not sure what happened there 🤔 OHHH "Active Criminals" was probably really low and there weren't many criminals to do the crimes.

Great job! And praise Asset Jesus!

Yes, praise him indeed 😁 I couldn't cram asset creation in the 3h as well.

Thanks for playing and for the feedback, I agree in the beginning it's much to overwhelming, no time for balancing...

I can barely make assets I'm happy with given unlimited time 😂

I also like to think that the amount of stuff going on in the beginning gives you more options to choose what you want to go after. I didn't mean to make it sound like a bad thing 👌

Very original idea!  We enjoyed it!

Thanks for playing!

Once I figured out how the each crime worked, it was a lot of fun! Good work. Definitely felt like what I imagine a prison guard would in the yard

Developer

Thanks! That would make for a great second level (Prison yard)

Very fun gameplay and excellent audio. I liked how it was easy with a lot of crimes to mix up who did it and who didn't.

Nicely done!

Developer

Thanks! Yes, feels kind of bad when you think you catch someone but you got an innocent one :)

Thanks!

I genuinely really enjoyed this one, the audio design particularly was excellent, although the blurry textures where a little distracting. I also noticed that as time went on peeps tend to get stuck in place, especially at the top of the map until someone else rams them, it made finding the final suspect frustrating as I suspect he kept getting stuck

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! Yes that's really an issue with the people getting stuck... I think it's because they are just randomly changing direction every once in a while. To improve I would have to make them follow some kind of path I guess...

The idea is so cool ! I think that the funnier part is when you see someone doing something bad, your mindset is instantly "I just saw what you did ! I'm gonna catch you !!". Playing on that by adding some gameplay mechanics to "catch the suspect" more than just "Spoting who does an infraction" might be really fun, like the fact that when you spot a crime, and approach the suspect he flees or whatever cool idea you can find to add challenge in this specific part! I don't know if you agree with that ?

On the visuals part I like the general design but I think you could really have better visuals if it wasn't that blury overall. I mean that the pixel art is fine but if you have something more "high def" with very reactive controls, and some "juice" I would like to play it so much !

Please tell me what's your opinion on that ? Do you see something different ? Contact me on twitter if you go further in the dev of this game ;)

Developer

Huge thanks for the detailed feedback!  I fully agree with the comment about  the visuals.  Gameplay-wise I felt the same "I'm gonna catch you" effect myself as well. The "flee" idea is superb, that would make it a lot more interesting... Maybe even so that you kinda have to sneak up on them would be cool.

Exactly ! Please contact me if you do something like that :)
