The concept is good, but a few bugs smooth over. The boat should stop the screen edge. Never caught a fish, yet the bombs would always hit.
the boat is very fast - hard to stay on screen aside of that, nice idea! good skill game!
I love the minimalist art style and colour pallet, hooking fish also felt really satisfying, the sharks might be worth a little too much though, it made the smaller fish not really worth going for. Also...did I see a boot floating in the water? haha
Fishes decide to fly, hit-boxes are super odd and when the hook is clearly in a fish it isn't caught. When I did have a fish on the hook it released as soon as I moved, the fish on the second picture decided it was not caught and the bomb hit-boxes are clearly perfect dunno if I'm missing out on some button?
EDIT: Sorry! I was all wrong, you had to catch the fish from below, I totally get it now. Really nice game when i could actually play it! One mechanic tough, the largest fish are the most worth and the easiest to catch, maybe you could change that? Also please ad a text in the jam page or somewhere that says "catch fish from below" please, cuz I was freaking out on this game for a while. Like that all fish have a name except for the smallest one that is just named "fish" and is worth almost the same as a boot.
I was going to make the most worth fish based on either it's spawn rate or swimming speed which is the Platinum arowana ( which doesn't really going to appear cuz of it's 1% spawn rate lol). I was also going to add stupid stuff like kraken, mermaids, dinosaurs, Leviathans and a boss battle in the future but didn't make it in time. Anywayz thnx for playing the game.
I really like this game and I love how weird the boat moves, it adds a lot of challenge and if it weren't for the controls I could see this being a very boring game. Even if it didn't have the boat controls it still has the mines and the comically large sharks. I love the color palette as well. Don't know how well it fits the theme though? Overall 7/10!
