Nice submission! Really liked that you've added multiple control schemes. I even replayed the game on my phone to check how it would work! I also liked the collectables, it added a small replayability factor too.

It was a small detail, but I thought it was cool that you added multiple music tracks for different stages. It gave the game a nice rhythm; jam games usually just have the same music playing from the title screen to the end, so I appreciated that a lot.

Cool game though. I liked the story/poem, and it fit the theme well.

The controls always felt weird, and sometimes I died and never figured out why. Was the part of the metaphor of finding love? :)

Okay, this game was a sleeper hit for me. First of all, as a lifelong introvert, I 100% relate to the theme being relevant and I will fight any extrovert who disagrees.

Second of all, I really enjoyed how there was a sort of little poem (or at the very least monologue / narrative) threaded throughout the levels. Stuff like that to me separates good games from great ones. Adds personality and humanness to the experience. I love getting a sense of the developer's outlook on life. Keep it up, and journal more about your thoughts on your own time, and think about what thoughts you can add to future games. We need more of that.

Third, I found the mechanics of moving around very, very fun. The most fun moment SPOILERS is when I was in full screen, trying to get the cherry high up, and I realized I literally had to exit full screen to get the cursor far enough away from the player for extra leverage. I have no clue if that was deliberate, but even if it wasn't, it's little synchronicities like that that really enhance the gameplay experience.

On that note -- the "optionally collect all" mechanic was an excellent way to enforce two playthroughs, props to you for that.

Since you already spent six hours, I won't be too harsh on the visuals and audio. Do start thinking about what inspires you, though: get a Pinterest and start saving images whose styles you like, and compile a Spotify or YouTube playlist of music (game-related or otherwise) that inspires you. Then try to create stuff in that same vein. Even if you fall short of the mark, the end result will have this air of focus and consistency that the player will sense and appreciate. Your sincerity and personality deserve to have an aesthetically cohesive visual and audio presentation as well!

Overall, this ended up being one of my favorite games this jam. It will certainly influence my dev mentality moving forward.

Cute game about the challenges of finding love 🙂 There's a lot you can do with this kind of setup. Other than the guy not really sticking to your cursor (was that intentional?), it was well-executed in my opinion. Good submission!

Nice submission :). As other said, took me a bit of time to figure out controls. Felt like there was some gravity on some map and not on others (but it might be me). Not sure about the theme fitting tho!

Congrats on your submission

Cool controls! Took my a second but then it felt natural! Collisions could probably be a little better, but at the same time it might make it harder also. I didn't find your secret yet, but may try again later! Good entry!

For Sure.

The controls are weird. Is it a deliberate design decision? - reading other comments, I see that it allowed mobile control, but it means getting a different experience based on your device.

The game's goals are sometimes unclear, but I appreciate that it was part of the design.

Good submission

Thanks for the feedback, i've tryed to make a little story for the game. But I agree that my game design didn't turn out to be that good.

Controls are a little weird, mouse or keyboard, and they seem to behave differently. Also seems like sometimes you need to grab the squares and fruit, and other times no? Good job getting something made though
