I think most people have said all the tweaks as well, but overall nice game that fits the theme.

I do think it's worth noting that I never figured out how to place a book. I just went to the book shelf and ended up mashing the keyboard until it placed the book. So some control indicator (even just in the game description) would be nice.

Cheers

I want to know the monster leaving these books all over the office!

Good gameplay loop, and great base idea for a game! Like other comments, controls could def be tightened up and let people know what the controls are. I almost quit because I couldn't figure out how to place books at first.

That last level got serious! Even no music haha

I really liked the sounds and music. I also think the concept fits right in with the theme. I think the controls could've used some work, but other than that, good job!

I really enjoyed playing the game. Controls are a bit wobbly and it took me some time to figure out where was that last red book but its really promising :). Congrats on your submission

Good game, especially since it looks like this is your first one!

A couple of easy tweaks to make the game feel and play better:

  • The character feels slippery! There were times that I tried to turn and the character kept going in the same direction, like he was on ice. For a game like this, I think making the character start/stop instantly would make more sense. Or at least turn the sliding down a lot.
  • Try  not to hide books behind the counter in the bottom! It was hard to figure out where the last red book on the first level was hiding.
  • The last level was very challenging. Just an extra second or two would make a big difference.
  • Your counter seems to break after the first level. It still counts correctly, but the color and the words are incorrect (picture below).

Really great job! I played it to the end, and I think your art looks much better than mine! 😄

I agree with all of these things.

Also editing the description of your game does not count against the 3 hour time limit. You should add the controls in there at least. I was hitting the keyboard trying to figure out how to put the books in the shelf. Overall, well done!
